And you’re just proving you’re a piece of poop. If this was your kid you would say different. If it was you’re daughter you’d say different. It’s sickening that athletes get special treatment. - TurdFergeson
I have two daughters, ever question how maybe he got the pictures to begin with? Clearly you weren’t very popular in high school. Girls like Hockey players especially ones who might go pro. I’m not justifying what he did I’m saying he was super young and made a mistake. He’s gonna learn from it and mature, if not then I’ll agree he’s a lost cause. |

MONTREAL - The Canadiens have released the following statement after selecting defenseman Logan Mailloux 31st overall in the 2021 NHL Draft on Friday night.
By drafting prospect Logan Mailloux with the 31st overall pick, the Montreal Canadiens organization not only selected a promising hockey player, but also a young man who recently admitted to making a serious mistake. The Canadiens are aware of the situation and by no means minimize the severity of Logan's actions. Logan understands the impact of his actions. His recent public statement is a genuine acknowledgement of his poor behaviour and the first step on his personal journey.
We are making a commitment to accompany Logan on his journey by providing him with the tools to mature and the necessary support to guide him in his development. We are also committed to raising awareness among our players about the repercussions of their actions on the lives of others. - Mashadar
Having to release an official statement after making a pick is not a good sign.

yeah well he might have made a very dumb mistake while still actually being a decent guy. as some said here stupid stuff can be done at a young age. not excusing it at all but I don't believe in this (frank)ing #cancelculture bullpoop either. people are allowed to make mistakes and evolve. - Pat1993
fans reacted this way first with Radulov in mtl. Weber said things would be fine and they were. |

well you are a minor at 17 and I saw plenty of stupid thing going on around me at that age - deadpoulet
ah you're right. What he did, steal a chocolate bar or cheat on a math test. All crazy mistakes that kids make. |

oh, I thought it wasn't settled already.. so it was confirmed he showed pics to his teammates? - Pat1993
i think it was a bit more than showing just his team mates. IIRC, he put them on instagram or tiktok without the partner's consent.
poor taste and immature actions for sure but nothing that should derail a kid's career. |

Yep, similar to his response to the Chicago sexual assault incidents. Kinda dated thinking but he is an older man so makes sense.
Weird part is, the kid himself asked not to be taken and the Habs couldn’t even respect that. I dunno if he fully meant it or not, but it’s odd. Maybe he wanted to take some time and let things cool down but now he’s front and centre.
We’ll see how it works out, the Habs could have a good player but any future statements or moral stands against sexual assault will ring pretty hollow IMO. - 13sundin13
I’m old. I’m right wing. And still this is a despicable decision by the Habs in my book. |

c'est tellement controversée comme sélection, pour une organisation plutôt conservatrice, soucieuse de son image... vraiment surprenant.
you're right, he better be damn good. - fidopro
Yup, pretty surprised by it as well... Doesn't look like a Montréal canadiens typical pick... |

I mean your twisting the worlds I’m not saying that, I’m saying young men make mistakes as do women. Young people learn from mistakes. It’s funny how I can spot lefty’s with no problem. |

I think according to cancel culture he should be banned from everything and sentenced to lick Cosby's balls for the rest of his life. but I guess that won't happen since Cosby is a good guy again, right?

Naw, I’m extremely happy with the pick it’s perfect for Montreal’s circumstances. I’m defending him cause he’s a child… He made a mistake, he needs to learn from it yes, but I don’t believe it should ruin a young mans life sorry. - Mr.FunFacts
I have done some reading on the fella.
And yes, he’s remorseful, and has admitted what he did was wrong.
Can believe some of these guys in here aren’t sympathetic to his mistakes at 17.
God, some of the things I did back then.. |

there is no doubt it is a totally classless move. It also shows the kid ain't too bright. How the (frank) can anyone that grew up in the social media age not grasp the concept that anything on an social media platform will and can come back to bite you on the ass. |

You can spot lefty’s ?? You accused me of being one and I’ve never been a lefty or voted lefty in my life. You’re just a moron. Period. |

The underrated part is how stupid this kid is. He took the picture, sent it to his teammates, then sent them the girl's information/social media, then admitted to everything in text messages that were then used against him.
