What Roy did would be treated differently now as opposed to 20 years ago.

It doesn't matter how most react, but it has happened. Minimizing the impact of the crime for the victim because the criminal could help your sports team is your business.

I'm not engaging in this discussion for a few days due to nuance but I'll drop a few thoughts.

I'm not without sin so I'm not going to rush to condemn the kid.

As a fan of the NFL I'm oddly used to much worse than this in the draft which probably says more about the BS people will tolerate when it suits their agenda.

I'm more than happy to condemn the team as this is at best an unforced error. I can all but guarantee if the draft was actually held in Montreal they don't make this pick.

I'm not asking anybody to condemn the kid or the team but to those rushing to defend them because you root for a certain type of laundry give your (frank)ing head a shake.

Lastly, I'm glad cell phones and cell phone cameras weren't as common in my coming of age years.

Logan Mailloux was a 17 year old who is a talented defenseman yet exercised bad judgment on one occasion.

Bravo to Marc Bergevin for being bold, recognizing talent and believing in forgiveness.

Shame on you, Eric Engels, the folks at Eye on the Prize and all the other nonsense media outlets for focusing on one bad moment and not seeing the big picture.
