I'm not engaging in this discussion for a few days due to nuance but I'll drop a few thoughts.

I'm not without sin so I'm not going to rush to condemn the kid.

As a fan of the NFL I'm oddly used to much worse than this in the draft which probably says more about the BS people will tolerate when it suits their agenda.

I'm more than happy to condemn the team as this is at best an unforced error. I can all but guarantee if the draft was actually held in Montreal they don't make this pick.

I'm not asking anybody to condemn the kid or the team but to those rushing to defend them because you root for a certain type of laundry give your (frank)ing head a shake.

Lastly, I'm glad cell phones and cell phone cameras weren't as common in my coming of age years.

To make it simple my entire argument is that he was 17 a teenager it has nothing to do with what team took him. I’d have the same stance if he were drafted by the Leafs or the Bruins. It just so happened it was the Habs, Fact is we need a RD, kid is a monster tons of upside. Me being happy for my team clearly getting the best player available has nothing to do with my stance on what took place.

I understand we’re your coming from, and by no means do I condone the behaviour that he or her engaged in. Sorry I was 17 once and yes girls text nudes to guys they like it’s a thing. However him sending it on any platform is completely disgusting. I believe we can agree on that, but to ruin a young mans chance to get in the NHL I think that’s a bit radical. Like I said earlier has nothing to do with him being a Hab my stance wouldn’t change regardless of the team that picked him.

See here’s where we disagree, The pick from a hockey perspective and from a business end is a fantastic pick. Can’t argue that the kid is a stud. When I say stud I mean he has tremendous upside. Just makes sense for the Habs to take him.
