His "plan", 4 forwards/40 M, has NEVER been successful. It's so (frank)ing dumb it's never even been tried before. And it was put into place with the assumption of a rising cap. To pigheadedly continue this way with a flat cap is not "sticking to your guns". It's idiotic, and inflexible. And I'm being charitable here.

Your manlove for this guy is irrational. But hey, he too, will be on the market come spring time looking for opportunities.

We just disagree.

The difference is you call people stupid and say they are win love with Dubas when they have a different opinion than you.

Enjoy your day

Drumheller is awesome. The museum will blow your (frank)ing mind. And there was this bar out in the desert with a zillion motorcycles. I love Alberta.

Western Canada is incredible. I’m so grateful that I lived in Edmonton for 12 years.

It really is amazing. When I travelled within the country after growing up in one region, it blew my mind.

Reinhart gone.

I wonder if Eichel goes but man. I wouldn't want to be on that team again this year.

I like his emphasis on skill as it’s harder to get high end skill than it is to get a 3rd line grinder type. I just don’t understand the need to have 3 forwards averaging 11.2M each. So, so stupid. Even if the cap was rising normally, that is still difficult to manage, but with the flat cap he still refuses to adapt. Posters like Santo clearly don’t see why this is a problem, as I said earlier, Dubas himself has said this hasn’t been done before. I don’t know why he’s so insistent on doing this.

He seems like a player agent disguised as a GM. Caring more about the player’s feelings than the betterment of the team.

I like his philosophy, just hate the execution. Honestly, if the Leafs don’t make the Conference Finals next season, I’ll be done with him.

All of that is spot on Stevie, especially the bolded. Totally accurate assessment.

The Knies pick was a pretty solid pick at 57 IMO. Decent speed for his size, tenacious on the puck and his shot is pretty damn good from just about anywhere on the ice. Really like this pick a lot even if it will be a few years down the line.

In Peace River we had 12 Foot Davis. Our family farm was across the River and my parents are buried half way up the hill (called Misery Mountain)

I don’t the authorities will ever find them.

Unfortunately I didn’t make it to Peace country. It looks beautiful. We went to a small town rodeo once, the name escapes me now. Talk about looking out of place.
