I read today that the Leafs have Interest In resigning Galchenyuk and Andersen. Here's the fact. There hands are tied and clueless and will probably panic and bring them both back. Toronto management Is clueless and full of fear. The pressure Is mounting. - Shady1962
No problem.
I hear there’s a Grandma who owns a Junior B team in Longlac and her grandson wants to be an NHL GM, the Leafs are already looking into it. |

One of the worst draft/free agency for the leafs in decades. - Optimus_9944
A feller would like to know what Dubas has on Shanny?
No other explanation for him throwing Lou out in favour of inexperienced Dubas just before the big tickets were to be signed. Kyle lived up to his name and dismantled the structure over style, 105pt team Lou had been building. Overpaid the kids and it went straight to their heads. Responds by firing the hard ass coach. “He’s mean and he makes us work really hard, this isn’t cool Kyle, fix it.” Anyone with the least bit of grit was jettisoned. Polak who had just played excellent down the stretch and against Washington, gets hurt and left a gaping hole. Nah we don’t need Polak, there’s a Marincin for that, the numbers say they are the same… Where’s any return on Hyman, Marchment, Kadri, Brown, Krazy Eyes Kap, Bozek, JVR or (frank) even Gardiner. They were all worth something, how bout draft picks since you give them away like candy Kyle?
And then there’s the obvious clues he’s a dud in the Garrett my friend gets the job over a guy on the cheap doing a stellar job. The annual Marincin signing. And of course my favourite- He likes Cody Ceci’s game and the numbers tell a different story. Jeezus Christ Man. Is he not watching? Cody Ceci is obviously awful.
The Leafs lose the heart of the team in Hyman. He was consistently in the top three players on the Leafs who I’d watch and say that guy is sneaky good, does it all, works his ass off.
I’m just pissed he’s not coming up Vancouver to be honest. We need that guy.
Jim Benning is a (frank)ing joke and terrible GM as well, to be fair to Kyle. How do these guys get these jobs?
Bottom Line is the Leafs lose a key piece, for nothing, because the wonder kids “Our Buddy Kyle” and “Brandon Printingmoney” overpaid and under delivered.
Its too bad about Hyman, seriously I feel bad for you fellers for once. Just wanted to say hi to my buddies in here. Back to camp for me.

LOL now I want a SNES and Jam for the bunker. Top 5 all time game.
Some will say I’m trolling, but I was very surprised at the Lou out, Dubas in transaction so I’ve followed it somewhat over the years.
If Dubas could measure himself with his nerd numbers, he’d be Cody Ceci.
A highly touted, Bust. |

Who are they going to replace him with?
Just curious.
Leafs have no heart and soul players anymore. Not Dubas’ style. |

Sure, apply it to Jimmy Blacktop too. I’m pissed we didn’t sign him, for the same reason- Mismanagement of the Cap.
You say he’s replaceable. With who? In house? No money, already shipped out the one prospect that played a similar game. That’s like saying we’re going to replace our heart with our liver. Expect the same results, Chum. |

The worst move Dubas is about to make that no one is taking about is letting Freddy walk and giving Campbell the reigns. He hasn’t started more than 25 games (I think?) in a season, so Dubas is showing his immaturity again. Galchenyuk seemed to fit in well and worked his ass off, so he’s likely gone too.

How else do goalies become starters? They somehow back up 60 games in a season?

Apparently just sign with a team with an idiot GM and he’ll give you the net.
Nothing against Campbell, he seems like a genuine guy, but he doesn’t have the credentials that Andersen has. |

That’s a good point Bryan.
I hadn’t thought about the fact that Jack Campbell seems like a great guy and a good goaltender. But he could be the new face of Band Aid Brand.
You could get 40 starts out of him. Might finish 30 of them. What’s plan B? Max Woll or Hutch? |

Maybe we’re overthinking it. The Flaky Five and Wives seem to be fine with it…
I mean it’s not like Dubas will do something really stupid. He’s not going to throw away two capable backups playing well on waivers and trust a Shart. And he sure as hell won’t put all his eggs in one basket. Like trusting a flaky, barley NHL goaltender, who doesn’t even know if he wants
to play hockey, with the backup role.
We are obviously in the wrong with facts and whatnot.
Leafs would have won a cup by now with a Lamoriello Group of finely tuned soldiers. |

Tonight’s starting lineup, Led by your captain on defence Joel Wortman. His partner on defence, a Big Number Two, Winsix. Up front please welcome on left welfare, Shack67. On the right nuts side we have Santo44 (the poster formally known as Angee). Up the middle please welcome number 22, Archaic View.
Your starting goaltender is Fake. Just as Dubas designed.
Your officials tonight will be a good as new Dozzer and Lou the Poo. |

Man, I forgot about Whack67. He’s an all-time classic tweaker..
Fake (ironically) is one of the more real posters. Not a Dubas wife.

When I think about the Hyman situation, my first thought is what does it mean for the Sens when they play the Leafs.
In order for the Sens to make the playoffs, they will need to play the Leafs even or better over the season. Lots of complaints in Ottawa that the Sens are drafting too much grit and passing on skill.
Although there is not a great deal of rivalry between the teams at this point, they remain important bench marks for each other.
#1 If the Sens do not win the season series against the Leafs, they will not compete for a playoff position.
#2 If the Leafs do not win the season series against the Sens it will be because of the robust physical game played by the Sens and it will signal the same old playoff issues for the Leafs. On the other hand, if the Leafs can succeed against the Sens physical style of play, it might signal that the Leafs are turning the corner towards being able to meet their playoff ambitions. |

probably has nothing to do with Lou being here for three years and making a mess...... But yeah we should have kept him around longer. |
