Please convince me, I want to believe. I want Lily and Sandin to both be legit NHL D. - Zezel
Well the fact he come into the pool being an elite offensive D prospect and completely flipped that around is one thing. He's excellent on his gap control and the best 3 zone passer in the pool.
I think he has a high floor...Which I think he is at minimum a good 3rd pairing D in the NHL. He is still young and has the tools to be more.
He intrigues me and I want him playing this year.
Robertson I like as well but if we are trading for a long term option at LW I think it makes sense to trade a LW prospect. So Amriov or Robertson? Robertson for me.

People are concerned about the prospects but there's 4 guys I know at the top:
Amirov
Robertson
Sandin and Liljegren
There's others I'm sure and people are fixated on them being traded. What has Grundstrom done in LA or Durzi? Marchment is doing okay in FLorida but it's just okay.
If you want to be upset then be upset with Lou who traded Verhaghe who's now a top winger in FLorida. - Aaron_85
We won't know anything for certain for a couple of years, but I do like the chances that some of the prospects we've drafted in the last 3 years outside of the 1st round have: Hirvonen, Niemela, Kokkonen and Kral are all probably NHL players - and a series of maybes - players who have a high enough ceiling to make it, but need to reach it: Abramov, Der-Arguchintsev, Abruzzese, Hollowell, Holmberg, Miettinen and Villeneuve.
One thing that I never see in our prospect rankings is that any of our goalies are NHL calibre talent. Scott and Woll maybe have it - but they have to find their games. Hopefully next year as things come back to normal they can, but I doubt it. That Akhtyamov guy . . . I mean the European scout really liked him, but no one else does. Time will tell, I guess!

Holy (frank) I hope you're right about this jonesie. - Zezel
I hope I'm right too.
He's slowly been progressing through the system. I remember reading that they wanted him to focus completely on his defensive game when he joined the Marlies. He is a great, smooth skater and has offensive chops but he needed to become a more complete player.
I love how they have haven't rushed him and I expect he gets some very heavily sheltered minutes this season and let him slowly percolate over the next couple of seasons.

Maybe he's our next 2M RHD unicorn defender? - mjones242

No need to trade either unless something is there. Let them both push
I read good things about Knies ... I can't wait to see who they trade him for to try and fit a roster under the cap. At least Mitch is getting paid, that's all I was really concerned with since day 1.
