And by not letting them sign him to 8 years you are in actuality saving them money. If the rumored contracts are correct it's 7x5.5 (38.5M) or 8x5.125 (41M) and this is all before taking in the fact they will likely need to buyout the final2-3 years saving them dead cap too.
