For the Vancouver Canucks, the main focus of draft weekend is a blockbuster trade. On Friday, Jim Benning moved out three players and three draft picks, including this year's first rounder, to acquire defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson and forward Conor Garland from the Arizona Coyotes. In the second round on Saturday, Vancouver selected Belarusian scoring star Daniela Klimovich.

So far I am very pleased with what the Canucks have accomplished, looking forward to a strong season by the Canucks. I’ve been critical of Green and his systems, but with the new coaching staff hired and new players I betting the Canucks will be a strong contender in the division.

A six game East Coast trip to start the season might not be ideal, but it should help the guys bond as a group.

I honestly don't know enough about these kids. I just looked up video on that klimovich kid and he looks mean. I'll honestly just have to leave it to the experts and trust they did their homework. The only thing I wish was that he was a center or a defenseman. We need both more than wingers right now imo
