The fact you've forgotten how fast the bad stuff got sweeped under the rug from players like Matthew's and Kane proves the point this controversy will be forgotten in less than a year. Not saying it's right, but between rich athletes paying their way out of trouble and people having short memories, this stuff gets forgotten quickly when the next controversy arrives. If he plays like Shea Weber in his prime, he'll be hailed as a hero and Bergevin will be considered a genius. That's the sad reality.

meh, what he did definitely shouldn't be downplayed just because he performs well, but at the same time we should be giving him the opportunity to learn from this whole thing and evolve as a person. MTL might be one of the worst places to go through this kind of process though lol...
