Same here. Then again, after the Risto trade Chuck flat out said, “I don’t see us making any other trades.” Then Jake got traded 12 hours later lol. |

One skill of Atkinson’s that we really could use is his elite PKing. IF Hayes can get back to his 19-20 self, him and Atkinson will be a dynamic penalty killing duo. - arichardson22
Those two and Coots, let’s hope this thing can get back on track |

Depends is the NHL going back to previous divisions? Ok according to your list that means the NHL is going back to the old format seeding by conference or is the NHL sticking with the top 4 teams in each division make the playoffs? - Glak18
Yes assuming back to normal.

Geez! Ristolainen look strong on that hit on Ovi. Ovi had some speed coming into that check and got destroyed. I like how Ristolainen continued to give him a little business after he already decked him. He’s a mean kid. |

I’m at peace with losing the first in such a unpredictable draft where players’ development could be stunted from COVID. That’s how I’m spinning it. - black_francis
The prospects over in Europe apparently got more playing time this past year. That may be why they went with the kid from Finland. This draft was also said to not be very deep, so a pick in the middle of the first may not have much a difference in overall skill from one in the second. If there was ever a year to trade a first that wasn’t in the top-5, this may be the year. |

Some people don’t look past points. Cam is probably the lesser player overall, but I’m hoping for a better fit. We really don’t have any goal scorers outside of JVR who scores them in his own way. Nice to have a gritty forward that knows how to get to the net. - ClaudeFather
The Flyers needed some PK help also. Atkinson checks off this box here. Lost a little punch on the PP though. |

Some will oppose I know. Am fine with them signing Morin. He showed better than I thought this year. Even if he is just a plug in for a couple games. He stayed healthy. And can train again. I see it as worse case he is protecting prospects in the ahl. |

Absolutely, the Pp has sucked as of late so I’m not sure how much of a loss it will be. The PP needs to be one unit with all your top dogs, I hated last years two unit system. No good team has split power plays. |

When Holmgren told Jeff Carter he wouldn't be traded and then promptly shipped him off to Columbus: that is the most egregious example of this genre I have heard.

why do you want to know, looking for something else to complain about? - bradster
Hey buddy, how about you actually contribute to the thread instead of your constant little girl caterwauling?
So far this is what I know about you:
1. You find MJL excessively argumentative
2. You find me and Tomahawk "fancy stats guys"
3. You want a blocker to avoid trolls.
4. That you have essentially nothing else to add.
So how about you grow a pair and suck up what you don't like and actually offer up a hockey post with some thought and reasoning behind it? |

Risto does a lot of that kind of stuff. Lot of yakking afterwards.
He is surprisingly though, not that much of a fighter. JVR went toe to toe against him a few years ago I am pretty sure. |

Then the Flyers don't need to beat out teams in other divisions, they just need to be better than 4 teams in their own division. |

He looked solid in a couple games and lost in some too. He needs playing time but it ain’t gonna happen in the AHL. He won’t make it through waivers. I wish he could make it through waivers and get some playing time. He may get some this year. York will need some time to adapt to an 82 game NHL season. Morin will play his part in that. |

well if you know that much about me, youd know i called for culture change, needing 4-5 new starts. Like what chuck has done, focus on positive and not focusing on negative. Liked losing our 3 worst players from last year, and what we gained. Not sure how you dont know that stuff, if you know all that other stuff about me. youre the one that said tomahawk is the stats guy, not me.
Just find it funny you obsessively like find flaws in people chats, and what chuck did wrong instead of seeing anything positive. But carry on.

Imo our pp needs a change. Has looked the same for years and is too predictable. |

IF
Flyers have a great camp, luck with injuries, then if the young players bounce back, especially Hart, the rest play to their potential the Flyers will compete in upper end of the East. They need to take Boston in the season series for sure and hold their own. Vs Tampa, canes, panthers, who knows what can happen. I think Tampa is still the class of the East but you have to wait to see what they look like. I said yesterday that the canes will try to keep Hamilton, I think the moves they made and lack of moves point to that. If they don’t add, will they be better? Still top end of East. I think the Panthers as they sit now are going to be really good.
THE Flyers should be solid against most of the East. I think Tampa, Panthers and canes are a level up.
Cf made his moves prior to FA, curious what the other teams will look like after FA
Let’s get this out of the way
Jake will have a lot of good games vs the Flyers |

Now that was much better.
Just stop whining, ok. Don't like what I say? Guess what, you are far from alone. Ignore me, or give it to me, just not so whiny a way. This is like the 5th time in a week.
Now, lets carry on.

I see Carolina and NY Islanders in the playoffs and New Jersey and Columbus at the bottom of the division.
So basically battling it out between these teams for the final 2 spots:
Washington
Pittsburgh
NY Rangers |

i dont mind what you say, but you say it over and over. Very repetitive, waiting for someone to agree with you or something. Say something new, and then i wont whine about it.
so whats next? i think we gotta sign hart and travis then see how much we have left for a goalie. Hopefully Couts gets extended before the season starts too, dont need that hanging over the season
