but as a group, last season they had
Suzuki
Danault
kk
Evans
next year they could have
Suzuki
Evans
kk
Poehling
forget who is playing with who, that is basically replacing Danault by Poehling. - fidopro maybe sign Getzlaf?

nope. need to trade for a legit top C imo. trade kk if you have to.
let Evans center the 3rd line, if and only if you have 2 top guns on the top6. |

We'll see what he looks like at training camp.
He looked pissed when the year ended, I'm sure he knows he just wasn't good enough.
Hopefully that translates into better play. - Scabeh
I think one of the positive aspects of having a guy like DD as coach is that he knows how to deal with young players. as long as there is a healthy and constant communication going on between KK and the coaching staff I think he should be fine. |

Enough vets already last season they won’t help get us to where we need to go imo. To me guys like Toffoli, Edmundson, Petry, Gallagher will need to lead more by example. |

I think Suzuki will get 65 points next year playing with Caufield who may get 55. Dvorak maybe another option via trade |

I think I've read somewhere the habs could eventually consider him for captain. I'm not aware of his specific leadership qualities but besides Gallagher it does sound like one of the most logical choices.

agreed, it would be too soon. and besides, if you want the best example of a guy who is willing to do whatever it takes for his team, it's definitely Gally lol

I just hope that with his line mates Tatar and maybe Danault moving on it doesn’t affect his play |

well... people cannot blame Danault for his lack of offense and then be afraid Gallagher' play will suffer from his absence.
you can't have it both ways. |

you think Tatar stays...? I wouldn't necessarily mind that, as I really like the guy, but sadly he just can't seem to bring it in the playoffs. |

All of them will be another year older, so I don't think it's all doom if Danault chases the money. I'd love to keep Danault, but it's uncertain. I mean Suzuki imo is a clear #1 center after that stellar playoff performance and maybe KK finally breaks out. That said if they want to have a better team than their good one from this year, they're going to have to insulate the centers by improving in every other area. That means we have to sign Hamilton and ideally somebody like Hoffman, in which case I think it's a better team than this years.
Hoffman-Suzuki-Caufield
Toffoli-KK-Anderson
Drouin-Evans-Gallgher
Byron-Poehling-Perry
Lehk and maybe Armia
Chiarot-Hamilton
Ed-Petry
Romanov-Kulak
I know this is a long shot, but this is a way in which they could lose Danault and still ice a better team. This would look pretty damn good imo. |
