Danault a le dos large en criss par boutte je trouve - Pat1993
btw, both Tatar and Gallagher had their best season ever with Danault as a center, if I'm not mistaken. the guy must be doing something good, no?

well... people cannot blame Danault for his lack of offense and then be afraid Gallagher' play will suffer from his absence.
you can't have it both ways. - fidopro
It all depends on who we bring in and where they slot in Gally. I don’t blame Danault for his lack of offense but more on what he is asking for |

ideally, we'd have Toffoli Evans Gallagher on the 3rd

if you have Suzuki and another legit top6 C (not kk) in front of him, yes.

for quite some time they were literally one of the best lines in the league 5 vs 5, so yeah, definitely. unfortunately it was more of a regular-season thing only... while I understand why he was benched I can't help to find it a bit baffling that Tatar was a healthy scratch in the playoffs while the team was struggling to score goals.

so Lek and Armia as #13 and #14, at 3M each?
yeah, no - fidopro
Ok, we don't resign Armia or deal Lehk. Not exactly a catastrophe. Obviously the real issue is signing Hamilton who we desperately need and everybody will be trying to do the same. I can't think of any good options besides him with Jones dealt. |

he's certainly plan A. but not at any price.
Habs could trade for a guy like Dunn who apparently is on the market, and play Edmundson on the right side.
they could also sign Savard.
plenty of options. |

For the longest time Anderson was also not scoring until the Vegas series, but Tatar does have a history of not scoring in the playoffs when he was with VGK and last year as well against PHI. That’s what this team really needs, balanced scoring |

None of those options help to give us a better team than last year though unfortunately. If we're going to try and go for another run before Price declines too sharply we need somebody at least on par with what Weber did and ideally better. Hamilton is probably even better than Petry and makes us alot better imo. |

Have to also consider how many games Weber missed in a season and how often his shots miss the target. That said we need someone big enough to fend off defenders/can lead the rush but not that the all in style Weber plays which is not durable |

difference is, during a game you'll still notice Anderson even if he doesn't get on the scoreboard (and usually for the right reasons), while Tatar becomes basically invisible. completely different players.

True, but keep crashing the net and nothing happens is also not what we want to see, if Anderson can refine his finishing he will be a lot more dangerous |

to me, if Habs want to build on that run and try again next year they need to find a top6 C and a top4 RD. basically replacing Danaut and Weber by better players (more offensive players).
they have enough cap space to do so, but finding them is not an easy task. |

Not saying it’s a bad thing but if can finish more the better, maybe with more consistent line mates this year it may help |
