Too much risk, not only for what you are giving up, but health status.
Hard pass. - Mashadar
Yup a lot of red flags there for sure...if MB does it I'm guessing he will have had full access to the medical file |

The LD prospect pool is nice but Buffalo now has Dahlin and Power has their 1-2 LD. They’ll eventually need an RD (Mailloux?).
Else like I said earlier, it could looks like a:
Kotkaniemi
Player+Salary (Byron/Drouin/Lehkonen)
Offensive prospect (Farrell/Tuch/Poehling)
Maybe D prospect (Farris / Strubble)
Picks (1st+2nd) or 2x1st.
Going to be costly but Habs can do it. Eichel makes the Habs offensive so much better. - MONSTERSofMETALZ
Suzuki is a part of it. If he's not, don't bother. Adams is already asking for likes of Zegras, Byfield, Rossi and Kakko. His health questions and the high price is likely why he's still here. One of those teams is going to give up a guy that pains them. Prepare for it.
And no, Adams doesn't want your predator. |

Of note, it's been reported that he only wants high end prospects who fit the timeline of the rest of the guys here. Retaining salary or using salary dumps will probably lift the price. Being real about it, almost any team will need to dump salary onto Buffalo. And they should use it as a weapon. There'll be plenty to go around once Eichel is gone. |

Agreed wholeheartedly--- well said-- but I would also include the 10 million cap hit as well

Just so I'm not missing something from what you just blogged about...You want Jordan Harris to be the centerpiece of the Jack Eichel trade to your beloved Habs???? LOL. How is the crack up there in Montreal? because you must be consuming large quantities, but please save some for Jack, cuz he enjoys a fat rail from time to time. I dont like Eichel as a player, and even less as a human being, but if Suzuki and Caufield aren't included at the very least, this proposed deal is a non starter. You are a clown - Cory1
I thought people with dementia loved clowns. But, true also that frontal dementia comes with inhibition problems that can lead to people being inappropriate and rude. It's not your fault. You are welcomed here and can post as much as you want. I'm sure there will be a lot of patience towards you as you are clearly suffering. |

When asking if Suzuki and Caufield are part of the Eichel discussions, I received a reply stating “I assure you they are not. Literally everyone else is fair game, though”. #GoHabsGo

Yes, Habs have talked/are talking to BUF regarding Eichel. No, Suzuki is not part of the discussions. Montreal see him as an integral part of the future, even a possible captain candidate - MONSTERSofMETALZ
I have a tough time believing that. But for discussion sake, without those two, which players 23 and under are you putting up for a presumably healthy Jack Eichel?

I remember the last GM who was fired traded a lesser player under a deadline, yea. Come find me if we get an equal return for Eichel.

Eichel won’t start in Buffalo and the price will be reduced. UFA market is hitting in 3 days and GM knows it. Eichel going to have a NTC next year and that will reduce even more the price.
Watch it. He’s gone in the next 3 days. You’re not getting an elite equal return. |

We all hope he's gone in the next three days. Also have seen he's using GMs to outbid one another. It's a soft pressure point, Wednesday, but Adams seems to not really give a poop. Again, if the return is simply bad, then I'll come along and admit it.
But it won't be.
And of course, Eichel will be the best player in the deal. No matter what. |

Presumably healthy is a bold term, prolly best for you to walk away if you think you will get the returns you are looking for |

It's a question on the outside, but he's skating now. Information is really locked down regarding his health. It's wait and see for the outside world.

All I say is you’re not receiving an elite return. No GMs will take the chance with Eichel injuries. Good prospects/picks/NHL contracts$
You’re not getting Suzuki, Zegras or Kakko. Only in your dreams.

It would probably look like Kotkaniemi + Romanov + 1st + Drouin...Bergy is not giving up Suzuki or Caufield, if it's a must, he doesn't make the deal |

The trade isn't being made without definitive knowledge on his health. So when he goes, expect the GM to say they're comfortable with it.
Adams will get a great player back. But we shall see.

I think there has been a lot of folklore around his value for the team. What he brings won't be worth what he wants. |
