Of note, it's been reported that he only wants high end prospects who fit the timeline of the rest of the guys here. Retaining salary or using salary dumps will probably lift the price. Being real about it, almost any team will need to dump salary onto Buffalo. And they should use it as a weapon. There'll be plenty to go around once Eichel is gone.

Yes, Habs have talked/are talking to BUF regarding Eichel. No, Suzuki is not part of the discussions. Montreal see him as an integral part of the future, even a possible captain candidate

The trade isn't being made without definitive knowledge on his health. So when he goes, expect the GM to say they're comfortable with it.
