Eichel shot himself in the foot before draft day saying he will be better than mcd. Imo going to Montreal would be his biggest mistake. The pressure to carry a team like buffalo by himself obviously didnt happen. He needs to be the 2nd best guy on team & in a smaller market. Really think expectations hurt his overall game. He pronounced himself as a leader but in reality is he a leader?

I generally agree with your analysis (and no, he's not a generational player), but I can't fathom why you'd suggest "Eichel isn't even that good". He is a top 5 centre when healthy. His trade value is much less than that now, but not his talent.

What people seemingly forget is there are probably 7-8 teams tryign to trade for Eichel, and each are probbaly trying to one up each other.

So in a 1-1 world, yea you wouldn't do a trade that involves great players, but that's not how this works. You are competing against 5,6,7 or even 8 teams

KK, sure. If they dump Suzuki, I’m gonna be pretty appalled. He may end up as good or at least nearly as good as Eichel, and he instantly built excellent chemistry with Caufield.

I’ve never been a huge Eichel fan, so I’m especially skeptical of him with the current medical situation surrounding him.

I’d offer KK, a first, a solid D prospect like Harris, Norlinder, Brook (their choice), and tell them to frigg off if that isn’t good enough, which it probably isn’t.
