Other teams fans, take your best player.

list what you want as a return for them.

Id love to see it.

I won't take our best player, but I will say that Drai would be a very good comparison. Statistically they are similar, but Drai is better on the dot, has produced at a higher rate lately, is on a better contract, and doesn't have any injury question marks at this time. And I don't put his value anywhere near what Buf fans are asking for in an Eichel trade. And that doesn't take into account the tension between the player and team. Just sayin'.

Hey Ek. The rumour chart gives a free look for Eichel. You have 6 teams listed.

But not Minnesota, who you just said was the leading contender.

And not Montreal, who you just said continues to make noise from multiple sources.

You didn't put a trade that you'd take for him.

What would you take for him?

THIS.

jack Eichel is not a generational talent....he's a bobby ryan….he was drafted AFTER a generational talent. And his numbers are very similar to bobby's first 3 years....and just like bobby he was suddenly damaged goods....

Sorry Buff. You're stuck with this guy. Or...find a sucker like the Sens were..I dunno.

I'd pay $500 to have the word "generational" removed from any and all hockey discussions

I would contribute to that cloudfundme thing if we can add "physicality" to that same list of words to never be used. Similarly in baseball this year, every pitcher was being "stretched out". I was tired of hearing that one--instantly and it really was quite raunchy at the same time.

Generational was the first thing that jumped out at me when reading this. After about an hour of laughing, I laughed some more. If we look back over the last 50 years I see Orr, then Gretzky/Lemiuex (rare to have two guys in the same era), then Crosby, then McDavid. Even Crosby is pushing it.

Lots of other amazing players during these eras...Yzerman, Jagr, Lidstrom, Messier, Hull, Ovechkin. Those are called All-Stars and Hall-of-Famers. But they aren't generational.

Eichel doesn't even belong anywhere in this discussion. He's in a tier with guys like Sundin or Modano. Great players during their era, but never, ever viewed as the best of their generation, and certainly not top of mind when you're asked to review the last 50 years. But this is the Buzz so, yeah.

People like you that discount Eichel are in plain words are idiots. He is a generational talent. Top 5 centre in the league. Top 10 player in the league.
- Jammerz04

Ok maybe I am an idiot too so to solve this debate as to if he is a generational talent let’s just let this situation play itself out and see if others think as you do , which means Buffalo will get nothing close to what they want and will be stuck with an injured player who wants no part of that franchise , Good Luck with that looks like it will be the same thing in Buffalo as has been for years a DUD of a franchise

Who cares which team he’s a fan of. It has no bearing on his hockey knowledge.
You on the other hand don’t seem to know the difference between LOSER and LOOSER. You are a loser. Your mom is looser than my mom. See the difference?

Taking injury and contract into consideration---no way he is top 5

McDavid
Matthews
MacKinnon
Point
Barkov
Aho
Drais-- he can play center

and yes you are going to argue about some above--- and that is fine--- like I said I took injury and contract into my argument not just talent

What people seemingly forget is there are probably 7-8 teams tryign to trade for Eichel, and each are probbaly trying to one up each other.

So in a 1-1 world, yea you wouldn't do a trade that involves great players, but that's not how this works. You are competing against 5,6,7 or even 8 teams

- ImThatGuy

There are 2-3 teams bidding and another 3-4 listening incase the price drops. And the 2-3 bidding teams aren't even close to what you guys think Eichel is worth and that's why nothing has happened yet.

I agree whole heartedly with EK about Eichel going to Montreal. Maybe good for him BUT not for us. If it is happening at all I prefer the Ducks coming up with something and him going out west. I also think Bill Guerin (the master) will also come up with something as well

I find it interesting that people should say Eichel doesn't like buffalo...he never said that, Yes he's unhappy BUT it is not with the City but the way the direction of the organization has been going and wants to get to to the playoffs and then agin who in hockey doesn't want that. Who ever wants to pay the price, the man is locked in for another 5 years. Regarding the operation situation I think I recall Peyton Manning's career was supposed to be done but he came back

Well this should be fun. A couple of pathetic franchises with moronic fan bases going at each other.
- TurdFergeson

LMAO, you just made a total ass of yourself. By your logic, if the habs are pathetic and yet easily dispensed your VGK (should have been in 5) then that makes the Knights or just you worse than pathetic -a pathetic poor sport loser

A big (frank) YOU to whichever mod that gave me the 3 day suspension for suggesting the guy who called everyone an "idiot" that did not agree with his opinion what he called them. I based my post off facts and not opinion and suggested he may be what he called others and I got a suspension while he did not. And you deleted my post and those that supported my claim. You are a (frank)ing wussy in my opinion and should have all your mod privileges revoked. If I deserved ANY sort of a ban, than the OP deserved twice.

I said that eichel was not a generational player because he has to be the best player while he is playing when the original poster said anyone who thinks he isn't is an "idiot". I suggested he May be the idiot he is calling others for such a stance and I got banned. How is that right? You, unnamed mod are an idiot for making that decision. Even Parros has better common sense than you.

Please ban me again. It's offseason now anyways. Remove someone who would add substance to your site you (frank)ing idiot.
