Should Oilers be looking at Hawks' Pius Suter as UFA. You bet. 14 goals, 27 pts last year in first NHL season. He's only just turned 25. But, scads of teams will be in on the Swiss centre now...

42% FOs

Seems to be a trend for the available centers. But very odd some of these unqualified players not having trade value. Validates Buch’s low return in a way.

What time does free agency actually start tomorrow? I might need to adjust my work day so I don't need to be focused or working at all when it starts.
- JRR1285

You actually going to do work?
That's insane

I have to get some stuff done before going on vacation this Friday. I'll be out until the 9th.

Bonino on a 1yr deal for the 3rd line would be nice.

Selke candidate the last few years, +50% on faceoffs… seems perfect for us.

I could see that too. Only player in the NHL I know for sure I’ve played against when he was on Farmington HS. Don’t think I won a single draw Playing him was the moment i knew I’d never make it.

putting lines together right now is like trying to a book report of a 200 page book when you only read the first 90 pages.
- jimbro83

lol. I did that in 10th grade!!
Everyone had to analyze 2 chapters of Brave New World in front of the class. I signed up for 1 & 2, thinking I wouldn't have to read the rest of the book. Who knew the story would change significantly after chapter 3?!?!?
lol, probably everyone...

Bahaha!

I remember when my friends were telling me about when Kovalchuk was first brought over from Russia by some of the NYC Russian trainers. They skated a few times with him at Pavillion in SI. He was supposedly ripping shots from the blue and red lines into the net with a goalie there. Broke everyones heart that moment.

Wow!! Looked like he was hardly trying too. If he had an open shot it was going in. We had pretty wild home fans and when they came to us the away crowd outnumbered ours 2:1.

That’s awesome. A harsh reality 99.99% of players face at some point in their life.

Two different situations and very different players, but this reinforces what I heard from multiple people that moving a player quality player like Pavel Buchnevich, who is about to jump to a $5-$6 mil AAV, did not garner the type of offers many thought he would. #NYR

in other breaking news: water is wet

edit: seems he's relating buch's numbers to the fleury trade

Wow!! Vegas trades Fleury to Chicago for nothing! WTF

They must have something BIG coming down. Like Eichel.
