Danualt is a bottom 6 center, plus they traded Fleury for nothing today to dump cap đź‘€

The reports are they gave Danault over 6 million a year.

Now former player Georges Laroque is tweeting this so no official confirmation.

But it would seem that they swapped Fleurys salary for Danault.

Reports up in Montreal prior to the Finals had Danualt back then turning down some long length term deal to re-sign there at a $5M to $6M per season AAV pending the number of years.

After watching MAF and Nate Schmidt get traded for nothing today I’m feeling better about the return we got for Buch.

I think we’re going to lose some trades (Buch) and overpay some UFAs (Goodrow)… but come opening night i think this years team will be more “complete” than last years opening night team.

Still think the Rangers are finding themselves with Eichel at the end of the day.

Of the teams being mentioned for interest in Strome, only Ottawa (not Vegas which has almost no center depth) maybe Gourde from Seattle, has a center the Rangers would be interested in receiving in return.

Buffalo owners really want him out of the Eastern Conference when/if a trade is consummated.

It’s the only thing that makes sense. Move Buch, trying to move Strome. They are opening up cap space for something big at center

100% think they have an offer on the table for Buffalo and they are just waiting for them to blink first. What that offer is who knows but I’m sure it’s pretty decent.

With many having expected a number of trades to have been completed by Drury from any point ahead of the Expansion Draft, and right through the Entry Draft leading up to free agency's start tomorrow; outside of his trade of Buch, many wonder whether or not if no other deals occurred due to him concentrating and spending too much excessive time, as E. Friedman described it in quotes here, by being in a "STEALTH MODE" to land Eichel.

Drury's delaying of others interested of key in either Buch or Strome, likely led them to search elsewhere & await for free agency's start to fill their needs. That also could have contributed to the Blues ability to steal Buch in that trade, despite him being an RFA; which led Drury to panic & sell low on him, instead of receiving an expected high exchange value after his breakout season.

Friedman used that quoted above term last week, in expanding it to infer of the Rangers checking in regularly into acquiring Eichel, to see both the latest amount of interest he was drawing from others, as well as hoping for GM Kevin Adams price to lower in order to complete a trade.

In the end, that became the best trade Drury has made in his short time as GM; by not trading for the still uncertainty of Eichel; especially with GM Adams refusal to release any medical reports, diagnostic tests results, and more on his neck injury he immediately wants to undergo surgery for to heal.

This is my exact thinking. It's a take it or leave it offer. I feel like it's the best offer out there. But Buffalo is desperately hoping something better comes along.

But that's the thing, NY doesn't have to blink, Buffalo does. If drags on, buffalo continues to look bad and it's a cancer for the team. NY can continue to upgrade via FA and maybe a trade somewhere else. Honestly, Buffalo is dealing from a low ground and it's only getting worse

I believe that you are correct per that $6M per/6 years amount and term. I believe at one point, word by one rumored there had him seeking an 8 year deal for $45M in total ($5.625 AAV).

Im convinced the offer is decent but its definitely not crazy.

Im sure the foundation of the trade is prob a 1st, Chytil & Nils, and not much more.

The thing is, even if the trade is accepted, Im sure the team doctors will review the medical records to determine finalization. Trade “pending physical, medical evaluation”.

Well its certainly not Schneider cause Ive seen numerous reports that any deal that included him was immediately shut down.

I just dont see how Vegas can afford to sign Martinez and Danault, yet still have enough cap space for Eichel.

I think its safe to say its either Danault or Eichel for Vegas.

Maybe they’re guna trade Fox for a HAUUUL. His trade value will never be higher and Nils can take his role over.

Just kidding, kinda.
