Why would he or the team want a 1 year deal - ClaudeFather
Neither party would want a 1 year. For the Flyers, Hart then becomes a UFA after only a year. That would be dumb. For Hart, he'd find it more difficult to get a big payday after a terrible year and presumably only one good year behind him. A 2 year trial with good success would make him imminently more valuable. |

Would still like to see JVR flipped for a 3C if possible. Frost coming off an injury and stepping into that role raises some concerns for me. Much rather see him start on the wing.
And our other bottom 6 center at the moment would be Laughton, right? I don’t think any of these other guys play center. |

Personally, I feel like Frost should be playing LW. If somehow JVR got moved for a 3rd C, then either Lindbolm or Frost could play wing and then the other on the 4rth. |

A bridge deal of 3 years would be fine for Hart. I wouldn't be saying here's a 1 yr deal. Last chance to prove yourself kid or you're out the door.. at 23.. |

I really want to see how Frost is after the injury/offseason. Skilled but that cat has to put some meat on him. I think he'd get crushed on the walls as a winger. Hoping he brings it this year. |

One other option would be G centering the middle 6, probably not ideal but always a fallback |

I think you have to pencil Frost in and hope he's ready.

Definitely need to look at a cheap, versatile forward. I really think Freddy Gaudreau is a great option if the Leafs don't resign him.

Most ignoring Tanner being a legitimate center and a chance he pushes for 3C.
Agree that slotting down Claude to3C is an option and given his age and his legs losing some pop...may not be a bad idea to get some younger legs in the top 6.

Just learned EDM didn't qualify Jujhar Khaira. That's another option for sure.

Good news. Imagine if Risto pans out as being effective and Morin comes back strong? Serious bruisers on 2nd and 3rd pairs if you wanted that lineup. |

Highly unlikely Giroux is at center unless there's multiple injuries.
I do think you're correct Laczynski being a little slept on. I think either him or Frost will be a center in our top 9. This of course would push Frost to a wing.

Edit: quotes not working - in response to SSB question regarding Morin…
In a presser Fletcher made it clear that Morin is going to be apart of things moving forward in some capacity. I think he’s just making it his very last move to make sure the money works. |

Got to remember too, Fletcher said he wants a depth forward who can kill penalties. So any guy would need to bring that element.

Seems to me the 7D should be an experienced and reliable Dman who preferably can play either side to some degree. Also needs to be able to fill in 3-4 games in a row if injuries dictate it. I know Morin will be cheap but really don’t see him as an ideal option. Last season he was physically incapable of playing 2 games in a row. Has that changed? |

Our forward lines don't look bad but someone mentioned, may get pushed around. What we always see is how the rules change for playoffs. We'd need to bulk up with a couple of strong 3rd 4th liners (a la 2020 playoffs with Thompson and Grant). You run into the Isles, you'll need it.

Blake Coleman and Jon Bernier
Are my Drunk Gm signings.
Looking forward to another day of scintillating arguments over absolute minutia from a bunch of Drunk and high armchair GMS that got absolutely nothing right.
Sorry to bust the bubble, Frost will not make it back. Career AHLer
This, I unfortunately got from my Tarot cards hope cards are wrong. |

Can’t sign guys like that, they can’t play. Changing your game for specific teams is never a good idea. Not a very physical forward group but if we can play fast and hard we will be fine . |

Right now little over 12 million. Just my guesses, maybe a little high but siding with caution.
Hart gets 5
Sanheim 3
Morin 1
Back up goalie 1-2
Leaving 1-2 million in cap space for a 12/13 forward w jamm - Fopa21
Sanheim gets 4.25-4.5 (NO WAY he takes a pay cut)
Hart gets 3-3.5 on a bridge deal
Morin 1
Backup goalie 1.5-2

Well if we need a Cam York type because he's not ready, I would get Ghost. And if we need a cheapo #6/#7 d-man, how about Haag? |
