He's not wrong, that OEL introductory webcam interview was sad to watch, just the same question repeated over and over again about what he needs to improve. Dude seemed excited at the start of the interview but slowly realized what was happening - Nucker101
This market had Neil Mcrae & Tony G knifing all the sports teams. Toxic environment media driven trained the sheeple. |
|
|
|
He would be my last resort signing. OEL is Edlers replacement. The idea for me is to get younger.
I would try to trade Chi -Holtby and a second (Yeah GFY lol) for Subban and Zadorov and Dillon for Schmidtn sign Hamonic and try to get Eric Johnson when he gets bought out. - VANTEL
Subban is terrible. Unless Clarke thinks he can fix his game that would be a hard pass. There has to be someone that would take Holtby on if guys like Keith and Gomez can be traded. |

Epp on negativity about OEL - Vancouver is a tough market media and fans wise, so driven by negative media, so unfair. They are already all over OEL, it is why some free agents stay away from VAN, the media scrutiny.

Epp is OELs agent and Hamonic - VANTEL

After hearing yourself and Nucker make comments about your personal sightings/talking to him, I was of the opinion that he is a scumbag.
Glad he is gone, for both reasons, being a scumbag and being a shit player. - Reubenkincade
I’ve met him a few times and I know plenty of girls he has slept w. |

You would certainly think an organization would defend/back a player at least until all the facts came out, I thought we were all Innocent until proven guilty, If the Canucks want to part ways with Virtanen based on his performance thus far that would be fine but this Is some suspicious timing. - Shady1962
The sexual assault (alleged) is just the icing on the cake.
Uncoachable
Out of shape
Doesn't try
Made 500k per point last year (cap $$$)
AND
he has a sexual assault accusation
=
Buyout.
Real simple, dude.

Fragile fanbase that jumps to conclusions all to easily. A sign of impatience seeing the potential for failure before a game is played. If the team isn’t killing it they have always, & I mean always, turned on the team than get behind & support them. They hang on to every negative & never let it go. - Nighthawk
Stop. You’re as bad as the whiners. The Canucks had a 474 game sellout that started November 2002 and ended in October 2014 (11 seasons). Many of those seasons were losing seasons.
No other NHL team has ever done that. In fact, it’s the longest in the “Big 4” North American professional sports.
If anything, the fan base has been exceptional in their support. Gone far beyond what the team has given back. |

I think we all know this is a brutal market.
Of course there is justification but I still think back to when SN650 took over the rights and DCT came on here and called the shot. He said the only way TSN survives is to be the opposite of SN . Almost like good v evil.
You could see the immediate change in the whole style and staff of TSN 1040. Neil MacRae was the king of negative media and he showed his good friend Dave Pratt the ropes.
Fans love a good lynching and the only way for the old TSN to survive is by selling negativity. They find suckers to buy their anger and dribble and that is how they make a living. Like I said Canucks are guilty of many things but it is way over the line now. |

All true & apologize for my slant & not giving those credit for support. I’m only trying to say fans use to hate media & would let them know instead of following them. The Pratts etc of the world wouldn’t exist if they did so. A good columnist can be objective & say goods & bads in such a way to be better respected. Need more BobFathers less sensationalists. |

I wonder how players in other sports leagues get treated when they say they don't like big media markets because the press and fans are too demanding.
Oh yeah, in the NFL, NBA etc they would be called mentally weak little whiners. Imagine if agents came out and said their players avoid NY, LA, etc because it's too tough on the stars. That would be received well around the league. "My players like small markets where they can blend in and people don't recognize them. They hate the media attention." LOL
But in this market "real" fans accept when players whine.
Hey Reuby, what's that about getting what we deserve? |
