Nick Ritchie no longer being qualified. Would be a nice add to the bottom 6 with size + showed some potencial for points.

Pass. Too many bodies & spots better used for winning jobs imo.

Well on league min, I would hope he would be fighting to win a job. Big body 6'3 208 only 24. Could be the Nichushkin situation of this season.

I wonder how players in other sports leagues get treated when they say they don't like big media markets because the press and fans are too demanding.

Oh yeah, in the NFL, NBA etc they would be called mentally weak little whiners. Imagine if agents came out and said their players avoid NY, LA, etc because it's too tough on the stars. That would be received well around the league. "My players like small markets where they can blend in and people don't recognize them. They hate the media attention." LOL

But in this market "real" fans accept when players whine.

#Canucks have a near-endless # of top-9 combinations they can try because of how many versatile forwards they have.

Höglander, Garland and Podkolzin can all play both wings. Miller can play wing/centre. Richardinson plays centre/wing.

VAN's top-9 should be formidable.

I personally vote for this:

Miller-Pettersson-Boeser
Höglander-Horvat-Garland
Pearson-Richardinson-Podkolzin

Stack maximum offensive talent on 2nd line. Tons of size and defensive responsibility on 3rd line to play checking role w/ tough matchups to free up Horvat line offensively

This is how I would stack the top 9 as well, Horvat could have a big year if he gets to play more offense as well as finally have quality wingers.

So 4L has Motte already. No 4C as of yet. Leaves a wing spot open for eg Lockwood/MacEwen. Either 4C is filled internally if won or sign a placeholder cheap 1 year. For the wing it’s open competition & better if able to move up the lineup when injuries. Who fills that criteria? Mac or whom? I prefer PTO’s if anything.
