Yikes some of these contracts are brutal.
Granlund, 4X5, takes him until age 33/34.
Coleman, 6X4.9, takes him until age 35/36.
Hyman, 7X 5.5, takes him until 35/36.

17M to sign Petey,Hughes, Richardenson and Joulevi. Definitely doable but my guess hes basically done.
Can't say the right side is super inspiring but all in all the team is much improved. - belcherbd
11.5 million aav for Myers, hamonic and poolman on the right side. |
|
|
|
How the heck does he warrant that kind of contract coming off of that type of season

Really don't like the poolman signing. Like the player as a 3rd pairing defenseman, but 2.5 is way too rich, and 4 years is 2 years too long.
Schenn at 2 years 800k is fantastic.
Halak at 1 year 1.5aav is fantastic
Hamonic at 2 years at 3 million is a bit too rich for me, but I see why they do it.
Sutter at 1.125 is really good value for the Canucks - Codes1087
Strongly agree with everything - hope the Poolman signing is false or incorrect
Would've like the Bogo signing 3X.800K (year too long but great $$) |
|
|
|
I still expect they will need to make a trade for a dman but good for now.
Sutter $1.125 x 1 year Does the job...admin
Hammer $3 x 2 years Decent signing re: term
Halak $1.5 (x$1.5 bonuses) x 1 year Good siging
Poolman $2.5 x 4 years Need to see more...don't understand yet
Let's hope the better forward group translates into better team defence. Wait and see approach on d-men signed. |

Every time I would build a roster on CF I slotted Hamonic in at 3 mil exactly. This is exactly what I thought he was worth.

Costly deals glad JB got his trades done. Cap is starting to look great but still more to sign. |

Right side is for toughness and defense, left side will be for transition and offense I guess.

yup and that's my problem with this lineup. it lacks physical pushback. i love the optimism in here (just like every offseason here) but i see it as a bubble/1 round team and that's if they remain relatively injury free. |
