If the canucks can somehow land pius suter, it would have been a fantastic free agency for Benning (all things considered and given his history on this day) - Codes1087
Sounds unlikely. He has lots of suitors and will take his time |

JB has done a lot of good this off-season, even if some of us don't agree with everything/his "plan" for it all... they've remade the D, which is huge, but for me it all boils down to how OEL recovers and how much of an impact Shaw has on the team.
That makes me wonder, how much did Shaw have a voice in the transactions this off-season? - NewYorkNuck
I think Shaw was very influential in a lot of what has been done this offseason. |

Not sure what you are getting at lol but no. - SMP8719
Well you don't have to be as aggressive as Canucks off season but just hold the rope on them wanting back in. Those "fans" slurping Krak and sh!tting on Canucks should be denied in and out privileges to Canuck club. |

Exactly this. Good points as well.
Also, I think Richardson, Garland, Podkolzin, Motte and Highmore (if healthy and full season) will be an big improvement in how we forecheck and defend as well - way more balance throughout the lineup. |

I think the majority of the signings will have a positive impact, I just see those two as being the biggest impact/most influence in the teams outcome. |

Danault is an excellent player but that's a mil too much & 2 years too long imo
Would've liked Khaira as our 4th C instead of Sutter |

I'm not a Slurper or a Hater,
But IMO, JB has done just about as good as he could fixing his errors and remaking the team as anyone could expect. Especially in such a short timeframe.
Need to play the games, but hand clap is in order to JB for at least making things more interesting. - carsonagenic
As Brad was peeking at Jimmy's list, Jimmy was catching a peek at Michel's. |

Sutter is the only signing I am meh on, but, I see the reasoning, with D ickinson having issues on the draw and Sutter is decent on the draw and an alright PK guy, he just isn't an aggressive player, at all. It seems like he mostly shies away from the physical game. |

imo i think the biggest impact is going to come from hughes, rathbone, and a regular training camp. i dont love the defense signings today but the expectation is going to be that the young guns on defense are the keys to transition up to the strong looking forwrad group. full camp with the coaches to get some systems and chemistry will go a long way to improve the brutal defense from last year |
