After all these years of watching Benning do you believe he is capable of being that ingenious and able to manipulate people to that fashion.

Your thoughts, honest question because I know you despise the guy.

Aqua is going to veto that and bring in hometown boy Jones
- NewYorkNuck

Ah, a solution for Schmidt has opened up. Vegas has room to take him back. They can give us a right D prospect

If they go with Demko and Jones next year in net I’ll take the under on 63points…

Yeah i don't get it. Aqua basically guts the entirety of hockey operations last year in a cost cutting measure only to pony up a ton of disposable cash this off-season....

nothing makes sense. free wheeling spending where you could be efficient and then cheap as poop everywhere else. they run a bonkers organization

Was hoping Jim could get him for a bit less but it will be a bargain IMO. Makes me wonder if Boeser's days are numbered.....

I like having Boeser and Garland both in the top 6, I look at the top 6 of some of the best teams in the league and it's clear that guys like Pearson are better suited on the 3rd line

Garland locked in through his prime at 4.95x5.

Not bad, hopefully he becomes that consistent 50-60 pt top six guy.

Agreed.

I gotta to say, Benning hate aside, i think we have one of the better top 9 forward groups in the Pacific now.

I like having both as well but with his QO 7.5 next year. Assuming one of Hoglander or Podzolkin can take the 2RW, I can see him moving him next year.

Garland signing is excellent. I think he will be a 20g 60pt guy here for 5 years.

Also IDK if this was posted but.

Nate Schmidt's agent Matt Keator and Canucks GM Jim Benning have been working together on finding a new home for the veteran D. The hope is to get him moved before the UFA market opens Wednesday. Do Bos/NYI make sense? (Trotz connection). He has 10-team no-trade list (no).

The more I read about this kid the more excited I get. In hindsight, I think Garland was the under the radar steal in that blockbuster trade.

I don't think the isles work but could see Minny or LA on the list. I don't expect anything of value coming back. Hopefully he doesn't need to retain. It's too bad because this team needs Schmidt badly.

Yeah, I think he'll become a fan fav. Dude mixes it up on the ice, is fearless despite his size and can finish
