Man, I don't ever remember this much house cleaning in so little time. It's reminiscent of Stalin's Great Purge.

Yeah, I think he'll become a fan fav. Dude mixes it up on the ice, is fearless despite his size and can finish

Reading somewhere that he is tenacious on the puck and usually a team leader in takeaways/steals.

With our offensive talent we need players to go get the puck and deliver it to our snipers.

Something this team desperately needs.

The entire bottom 6 could look completely different other than Tyler Motte

Danila Klimovich when asked about being drafted in the second-round by the Vancouver Canucks.

“Very cool. I've never given up, I've worked. I've always strived in that direction. It's justified," said Klimovich
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I like the attitude . It's a little better than the third line center that has been on five teams now in six years. "It is what it is"

Yeah, he does the dirty work for sure, similar to a Burrows/Hyman/Gallagher, he'll fight for pucks along the boards and in front of the net. I think he has more natural skill than Burrows did, but Burrows made up for that with his smarts and better two-way play.

Was hoping to get him around 4.5, but if he's willing to go with no trade protection and no bonuses then 4.95 is well worth it. Hope he lights it up in Vancouver

Don't be surprised to see him on the team following this upcoming season.

Not to be a downer, and I’m confident it won’t be a problem, but I did hear one reporter muse on the long term health of a small guy who is so fearless going to the dirty areas.

you try so hard
He's an interesting prospect but more likely a Cederholm than a McCann.

I think that is legit. Also sounds like Garland has a bit of an abrasive presence on social media as well. I honestly think he's a Marchand lite in all ways. He'll do some poop that will be embarrassing but will also be a hell of a player.

Fair, but he seems to handle it pretty well, just like Burrows/Gallagher. I do think he'll be in rough shape once he hits 30+

I like having that element on the team, Roussel was good at that before his injury made him m step slower

Good thing the Canucks aren't an injury-prone team

I don’t think it will be an issue, but we’ve seen guys like Gally slow down due to injury issues. Hopefully they find a bit of heft to offset.

if he was a couple of years older, I'd have some concerns about this deal during the last year or 2

But I think the term is perfect considering his age and play style and the cap hit is solid for what he brings to the table

Part of an email I got yesterday...
And on the Canucks, I agree Aquilini is a central problem, but Benning is not his puppet, it’s the other way around. Benning is a shameless person, continually making mistakes and managing up. Aquilini is a dumb rich kid who has never done anything on his own, and Benning plays to his fragile ego is my theory (“you can be the one to bring a cup Francesco, don’t listen to all those naysayers!”); I don’t see how Aquilini is pulling the strings as he doesn’t get anything out of this (no way FA says trade all those poopty contracts and get a new one I’ll pay for 6 more years, no way)…Benning costs this team money in buckets and the team’s rep is in the trash. It’s Benning who is the deeply manipulative one here, all about keep his GM job – he’s the only way getting anything out of this - cause he ain’t getting another GM job (although it is the stupid NHL, so you never know), and he has a dim-witted, Fredo of the siblings owner who he panders to, manages up, kicks down. Truly Benning is bad at his job, but he’s also a poopty person, I really believe that…no integrity; (frank) the future I’m going to save my ass…he’d leave his best friend out in the battlefield to save his ass…every (frank)ing time!!

2 years, but at that cap hit he can be buried in the AHL without any cap implications if his play falls off
