Just a “heads up”. Wings and Bertuzzi haven’t been at the table. Calls coming in. I really don’t know where this one lands, but just an FYI - Jeremy Laura
This could be a harsh loss. Would really like to see him back. Love his Bulldog mentality. A real wiener to play against, head’s up guy, motivated as hell, makes other rise above what they think is their limit. Lordy, I hope he stays. |

Looks like Pius Suter is available. I'd definitely look into that. He did his damage against us this past season. |

Except Yzerman saying he wants to sign him to a deal just last week or so. - StargateSG1
Right but non stop trade talks with every team out there on Bert, combined with "no recent contract discussion between the sides" makes most think hes on the move. |

Bruins did not qualify Nick Richie.....If he goes to FA, I would not mind seeing him come this way. |

If the right offer is made for Bert, take it. Its all about the future. He is 26, stock probably couldn't be higher, unless he plays all next season and lights it up. Realistically this team won't have its window for 5 years probably, he is 26 now, plays a hard game that will take a toll. So really how much help will he be in 5 years, not to mention however contract things go. Say L.A. offers Turcotte plus 2022 first rounder, or Kaliyev or Kupari plus 2022 first and 2023 2nd. I'm taking it. Its all about the future. Those are just suggestions btw, so calm down before you go all offsides about them. |

McDavid for Bertuzzi is also just a suggestion. So how about some realism. Reinhart was just traded for a mid-to-late first and B-level prospect. Yet somehow Bertuzzi is worth Turcotte + LA's first which is likely top 10? Bertuzzi isn't even worth one of those assets, let alone both of them. He's put up nice numbers, but put Bertuzzi on a true contender and he'll find himself on a 3rd line with no PP time. He's basically Abdelkader 2.0. I would definitely look to trade him while his value is highest. But that value is far, far less than what you are suggesting... |

Where did you hear about Suter being available ? Isn't he part of their future core ? Wonder what's going on as to why the Hawks would even consider trading him. I'd definitely kick the tires to see how much Bowman is asking for him. He's on their top line last I remembered.

It really depends on if that player fulfills a perceived need on that particular team. Not saying you get a McDavid, but then isn't Kenny his GM?

Yes... that is correct. Just read that on the Hawks blog. He would be a nice pickup for Detroit. Talented young player. Not sure what to make of this or what Bowman is thinking here.

If you can get Turcotte straightu up for Bert you take it in a heart beat.
I'd be more apt to trade him for a prospect vs. a random first rounder. Ideally a center. |

The value of Jones and Risto is totally irrelevant to the value of a middle 6 scrappy winger. We saw what Reinhart went for. Arvidsson is just 2 years older than Bert and was acquired for a 2nd + 3rd. But we think Bert is worth a 1st + top prospect. I give up. |

Could probably get more as a deadline flip when late firsts are just being thrown around for cup runs. |

When does Columbus trade Zach Werenski?
Trade him now and get ready to reload in the next two drafts or drag it out and rebuild over the next three or four drafts? |
