Hearing 7 million aav from 3 sources is the asking price now. That has been announced from my sources whether lou signs that is speculation. Hoping it's not a tough negotiation - Hockeyislife
You do realize that the ticker at the bottom of the screen on NHL network, or any other, doesn’t count as a “source”, right? |

The usual “sources” reveal everything we all have already seen speculated. Shocker. |

The man drafted pretty well, unless it was between picks 2 and 10 - eichiefs9
He always was trying to prove he was smarter than everyone IMO. There were so many drafts where we had a high pick and all talked about players that He passed on that were worlds better than the guys he chose. I am actually still shocked he took Tavares instead of taking Duchene to prove how smart he was again...

Love Pelech but heck no to 7 Mill with his offensive production. - ses111
This is kind of where I thought he would be TBH. I think it's high b/c of his lack of offense but he is by far our best player. What I don't want is a 2 year bridge deal with Pelech. I hope we lock him up long term b/c he will get a big number in the open market.... I am hoping he gets a 7 year deal around 6 mill... but if he got 7 I wouldn't be upset.
Sorokin getting 5 mill is nuts. A second year back up goalie RFA should get no more than 3 mill. If he wants more than that trade him for a first or 2 and get another back up.

I am in agreeance that Sorokin will be around $3m. $5m, no way.
I don't know why people always bring up offensive output when it comes to contract talks. Pelech is and was never expected to be some big offensive machine. He's a defensive defenseman that can score occasionally. This is like the Zeeker conversation where someone on here said he was a goal scorer that hasn't scored. You have to pay players for what their role is and how well they do/did their job. |

Adios to both of them. What a sad waste of draft picks. Especially MDC. Fvckin' Garth. |

i think 7 mil is still a bit too high. if you look at all of the defenseman making 6.5+, they all score way more than 20 points a year. most of them double that output. he is great defensively but is he that much better at defense than everyone else making 6.5+ with very little offensive output?
7x6 is where i think it ends up, hopefully. |

It's being reported that it's unlikely he'll return to Colorado. I don't see how he'd go back but we'll find out soon enough. From the reports I heard (notice I didn't say sources), the sides were too far apart on term. Sakic was offering 4 years and Landy wanted at least 6 years. Money he wanted from Colorado was $6.5m per. Again, we'll see what happens. |

Pelech is a tremendous dman and I hope it finishes his career as an Isles but you have to factor in the offense if he is looking for 7 Mill. You give Pelech 7 Mill and what do you give a dman that plays solid d and brings even more offense? |
