Id say lets give Pelech $7m
Casey $4m
Palms $5m
Beau $5m
Sorokin $6m

Bc there value is to great to be replaced in a cap era....

NOT!

Ironically I think all of these are close to what we will sign them except for Sorokin who I think will be 3. (I think Pelech will be $6 ish but rest are spot on).

Pelech is a tremendous dman and I hope it finishes his career as an Isles but you have to factor in the offense if he is looking for 7 Mill. You give Pelech 7 Mill and what do you give a dman that plays solid d and brings even more offense?
- ses111

You give Tony D $1.5 mill for 2 years and not a penny more that is what ..

Would not be a good start to the offseason at all if Isles had to give Pelech 7 Mill.

Somebody is going to take a chance on that kid and be very happy they did. It won’t be us.

Tony does not seem to be a Lou and Barry type of player. Tony would probably do very well in Barry's system though and you would think you can get him fairly cheap?

Especially not Sorkin at 6Mill based on one year in the NHL. Islanders have to keep those players and still improve so they can get past Tampa.

They also may not he has a bad rep throughout the league it seems. Not really sure if it’s warranted or not? I will say any time I watched that kid play I was impressed.

Maybe.

Though if the rumblings are correct, it’s not like he just couldn’t get along with the room as a Ranger. Rumours abound that he quickly wears out his welcome wherever he goes.

I’m not saying this because of his politics. I don’t give a (frank) about that poop. My only concern is that while talented, he seems to cause headaches wherever he goes. Maybe it’s because he’s just a colossal Richard?

Regardless he’s a RD and the organization is looking for a LD. So it’s not like he a great fit positionally either.

Staple just released a UFA/trade article and is speculating that Cizikas ends up about $4M over 4/5 years

Josh Ho-Sang is going to get a fresh start this summer as he looks to get back to the NHL. Keep an eye on the Toronto Maple Leafs; likely a two-way contract when completed.

Lou is going to have to overpay to keep this squad together. Parise and a Dman will be the only moves and I'm not sure how good that Dman will be

Judging by most of the deals signed thus far, I’d say this is a wee bit pessimistic.

Especially with Casey's injury history. These players talk about how they love it here and want to stay. Time to prove it by taking good but fair deals. Team needs room to make a big splash to get over the top. Just re-signing their own will not cut it.

Is it really that absurd? I mean I know he’s “4th line center” but I’d argue his importance with special teams, face offs in all zones, and centering the most effective offensive zone entry line on the team. If Cizikas is on any other NHL team I think 4 per is more palatable.

It's not absurd, but it's going to make things get a little tighter a little quicker

I have a lot of time for Nick Ritchie as a 3LW also. Heavy game, some skill there too. He'd fit nicely on a Pageau/Wahlstrom line
