he had mixed emotions when he got the trade call. He enjoyed his time in #Buffalo. Loved the city and the people. Thanked ownership, trainers, therapists for everything. #Buffalo will always be in his heart.

I will always remember seeing him out at Mother's Restaurant after a particularly bad loss a few years back. I quickly (we were leaving as he was walking in) thanked him for his hard work and let him know that I appreciated his efforts out there (I have always been pro-risto through his tenure - this was during the beginning of the calls for him to be traded maybe his second or third year). The look of despair in his eyes was frightening but he was grateful and I could tell he was down on himself and probably the whole organization already at that point. I hope he has much success and if I ever buy another ticket to this poop show of an NHL team it will be to the first flyers game here so I can show him my appreciation once and finally more.
