If you respond with b prospects then that doesn't meet the expectations.

On Jack Eichel, my sense from talking to a few people around the league is that Buffalo is in serious talks with multiple teams, the process hasn't zeroed in on just one team yet. And I don't think the Sabres feel it has to be done today if they don't get the package they want...

Because many times it turns into that.

My take? Unless it's a team like LA or MAYBE the Rangers, no team is going to give you their two top prospects (and LA may not want to either, but I'd gladly take Turcotte and either Kupari or Bjornfot +).

So if it's Anaheim, then it's one of Zegras or Drysdale +.

If it's Minnesota, it's one of Rossi or Boldy +.

If it's Vegas, it has to be Krebs and one of their other good prospects.

No offer from the Leafs as of this morning to UFA goalie Frederik Andersen so likely headed to market. I think Carolina and Colorado (if Grubauer doesn't re-sign) make sense as potential options for Andersen but we'll see.

I am going to have faith because Adams has done a pretty good job so far.

He is playing 3-4 teams off of each other. It does sound like Eichel will be in a sabres jersey before he gives him away or at least that is the impression.

Won't miss McCabe if he signs elsewhere. Has never played a full season and injuries seem to be getting worse. Not getting any younger either. If he signs cheap for a few years fine.

I can't say that it does it for me....he's not awful and we have to find a couple of goalies. Rather him with some upside than a Holtby type.

I would like a team to be "scrappy" this year. We have been way to easy to play against. Have to make other teams at least feel like they played a contact sport the day after games.

I feel you there. I’m 12 years in but was one of the fortunate ones where my ticket price went down. I’m already committed for this year. I love the game and it gives me something to do with my family. I know that it makes me part of the problem.

Same exact boat my friend. Kids are 19, 18, 15, 13 and I love taking them. But I can't make 41 games or burn 5k!
