so far... lost Bouchard in Laval, Weber died, Price is having a surgery usually reserved for 80-year-olds, we drafted John Wayne Gacy and our only veteran center just went to LA for an extra 500k.
did i miss anything? - DoubleDown

So far I'm not really upset. No moves that have handicapped the long term. Kotkaniemi and Evans likely get bigger roles so we get an idea on exactly what the Habs have. Poehling may get a chance to get worked in. Sometimes not making moves are the best moves - Takemedrunkimhome
if everyone you mention steps it up big time to compensate for Danault being gone then I guess it could work, but I find this situation at center is a bit concerning. but apparently Danault being gone is a good thing, so I guess I should feel relieved. might take some time lol

Today? might be it, yes.
But they could make a trade later on in the off season, yes |

He's a 5-6th defenseman who will produce 10-15 points for the next 4 years until age 34.
I don't get all the excitement, to be honest |

nothing to hurt themselves no but not a great offseason to this point. - DoubleDown
No not great yet, there is still time. Before this I didn't see a path to a "great" offseason and figured at best the Habs would end up fighting for one of the last playoff spots. The fact that the only moves so far are low ceiling, practical moves is actually what I like and applaud MB for being able to get done at reasonable rates |

I've seen comments here saying he's a "quality puck mover". I guess that all depends on how you define quality and puck mover.

Je trouve ça frustrant considérant l'offre qui était devant lui, mais il était dans son droit.

Yeah, not looking great so far, but I will give it a week or so before judging.
But at this point, the Habs are not a better team today than at the start of last season.
Let's see what happens next. |

He was clearly pissed at Habs management / the team and wanted out.
I never criticize a player for taking the money / finding a better place for themselves, even if the end result is disappointing.
