That would mean COL needs to sign a UFA G or make a trade for one who’s under contract.

When is the official date Stamkos goes on LTIR? What will it be this time, an old nagging injury, his leg, his core, or will they make up a new injury?
- dgarlet

They have to have something planned ahead in further cap circumvention, though done legally in the past per NHL rules.

MAYHEM & BEDLAM are upon us!!

My theory is the rangers have the offer Buffalo wants to take but are squeezing Drury to include someone else, like Schneider or Kravtsov and Drury isn’t budging. It ultimately ends with us getting eichel for less than expected as far assets leaving. Simply because Eichels contract is so prohibitive, for any team really. Buffalo has no leverage whatsoever

I’m thinking the exact same thing. Can we start talking about the return on Zib yet?

It better happens soon, I can see it now Rangers wait this out to long and miss out on all Free agent targets then Eichel gets traded elsewhere

Are you inferring for Georgiev as being an option to add with Lehner?

Not going to lie, I like the idea of trading for Eichel then moving on from Zib. But I honestly don't see it happening

My theory is that signing McKegg gave the Rangers the flexibility they needed to include Kakko and Lafreniere in the deal.

Seattle now has Grubbier, Driedger and Vanecek in net. Gonna try to pull assets from a goalie starved team.
