The Rangers defense looks just fine right now as constructed. If we weren’t loaded with talent I would agree. But he is still just a prospect with potential

See this is where I don't agree, I think the injury is a blessing in disguise. If Eichel was 100% healthy no way we are getting him without trading players like Laf/Kakko plus Schneider.
If we could get him with someone like Schnedier leading the return package? Man that is a steal IMO
