The big dmen the Hawks drafted will not be NHL ready for a couple of years. By that time Chara will be retired. I wonder if he would be capable and interested in coaching these guys. Remember early in his career he was quite awkward. He could certainly relate to them.

That is why I questioned whether the Hawks might hire Chara as a coach after he retires in a year or two. He could help them transition. They will be going through a lot of what he went through.
