I like the McCabe signing but do think it's a bit rich for someone who has injury issues and coming off major leg surgery (ACL, MCL, meniscus).

As for Khaira, I had a feeling the Hawks would kick the tires on him when it was known the Oilers were letting him and Kahun walk. Didn't see the Hawks going in on Kahun but more so Khaira especially when this offseason has shown that size and grit seem to be priorities.

He likely has relationships with several Hawks players like Toews and Murphy who have been skating this summer along with Wise.
