What a shocking day for unsuspecting Maple Leaf fans.

Such an expeditious decline; division champ three months ago; considered unlikely to make the playoffs today. Ownership (particularly Rogers) who rely heavily on Leafs viewers to drive revenue across a myriad of departments and platforms cannot be impressed with this turn of events.

The talk about "high danger" goaltending in 31 Thoughts is a good example that people who run stats companies should be reading public stats work. "High danger saves are the most repeatable part of goaltending" is something the War on Ice Crew figured out what like 6-7 years ago?

Over the past 2 seasons, among the 66 goalies with at least 1500 minutes played, Ullmark is 55th in HDSV%. Over the past three years he's only a bit better, 49/76.
