If you get soft enough, you wrap-around into T1000 territory and then you're impervious to everything.

It's a delicate balance, though. If you don't get there, then you're just super soft like DQ ice cream - even on ice you're a useless blob.

I'm all for moving on from Kerfoot as well.

To your previous comment, I don't know who you would get as a Bogo replacement if it's not just moving up the internal players.

For up front I like the replacement parts in guys like Bonino or Nash at 3C, and maybe a decent LW like Schwartz or Hoffman. For some physicality or tenacity I do like guys like Haula, Heinen, McGinn, trading for Bertuzzi, resigning Foligno . . . I'd take Kase if affordable, but he's not really changing the physicality on the team, but he'd be a good Galchenyuk replacement, again, if affordable.

But I don't know who is affordable at D who would bring some muscle and determination and still be affordable - so you take the bad parts of their game with the good. McCabe? Gudbranson? I suspect someone will overpay him because he's large. Cole? Forbort? I'm not even looking at right-side - I'm just trying to think of physical role, available and affordable. I come up with very little. Frankly, I was fine with Bogo. Edit - I just considered Luke Schenn. I guess he'd be an option, too.
He's lousy enough to give the kids a chance to prove themselves.

I missed that point so that's my bad. I would argue Montreal's team was very different from the leafs than one top tier goaltender.
