I know it's news to you, but third lines in this league need to contribute offensively. Our third line is a complete wasteland when it comes to offense. We're gonna get NOTHING from it.
So, it's all on the boys with the bg tickets. None of whom go hard to the net. A powerplay that had better click. - fifty__missions
Dont worry about the powerplay, keefe and the boys wont change a thing....gonna be great.

I don't subscribe to the idea that you need a true top 6 winger for Marner/Matthews.
Ritchie would be great to slot in there. Bunting should get a shot too.
The top line LWer needs to be able to retrieve the puck here and there and go to the net with their stick on the ice. That's it, Marner/Matthews can do the rest. - Leafs43
I don't mean they need to go out and get Ovechkin, just someone that can replace what Hyman brought to the top line.. I don't think Bunting can play that style. Right now, only option may be Mikheyev. Maybe they bring in Bertuzzi? |

5 more years for Ovi eh?
crazy.
Mickey cant play hyman's style....at all.
From what I've been reading about Bunting...in his long NHL tenure, he goes to the corners, front of the net and is pesky. Sounds like le hyman. |

Bunting plays hard an scores around the net. Pretty sure his style suits them and he will get the first opportunity for it. |

I saw somewhere on the innerwebs that the Leafs signed the most UFAs yesterday. |

I do wonder if they will look at someone like Jake DeBrusk or Tyler Bertuzzi.. Bunting seems better suited as the 2nd line LW. |

Brandon Saad is a nice fit for the Leafs.
he just needs to sign for 3 mil. |

I clearly know less than you, but I'm pretty sure a guy with 26 career NHL games isn't being pegged for first crack at the top line. |

If Mrazek can stay healthy and Bunting can play well with Tavares and Nylander it could work out well for the Leafs. |

my thoughts exactly.. At best, he gets the 2LW spot... It's a cheap contract that can be moved if necessary. |

If you thought we were adding a top lw then I don't know what to tell you. I guess you're not paying attention? Not aware of the cap situation? - burn
I'm not expecting a Landeskog top line LW, but someone like a Ritchie, maybe Tatar could've been added. Just someone who is a top 6 winger. I get the cap situation and hopefully there is still something in store if what Friedman is saying how they are saving 3.5mil in cap to get one down the line. |

Ritchie would be a solid addition to the 3rd line, but still leaves a hole at 1LW.
I mean, a 3rd line of Ritchie-Kampf-Mikheyev could maybe shut some lines down |
