He seems like a genuine guy. He was very disappointed that he didn’t do more for the Leafs.

I think its a good guess. But with Tampa AAV and Salary cap do not matter. They can always move what's needed to the LTIR when needed. Several players will volunteer to be injured.

Not his fault there's a 2 week quarantine period and it limited his regular season games

I’m not blaming Foligno for the Foligno trade.

Neither am I. But was Dubas justified in expecting a more meaningful contribution?

I wouldn't have a problem with Domi. He might be a dink at times, but I think he'd excel in a market like Toronto. He's a guy who wants the spotlight.

Are we done trying to trade Kerfoot? Because Kerfoot out would probably help.

- Monkeypunk

I think Dubas is keeping Kerfoot, it sounds like he hopes he can do what Hyman did.. I don't think he's moving Kerfy anymore

My problem is Dubas overpaid.

1st rounder for a 3rd liner on an expiring contract?

Bruins paid less for Hall.

CBJ got us to pay more to retain salary and then we had to pay SJ to cover more salary

Everybody here wanted the kind of game that Foligno played and not what Hall brought. Unfortunately, Foligno didn’t deliver due to injuries or whatever. I think grit might have been mentioned.

That's insane. Kerfoot can't do what Hyman did. Every physical exchange with Kerfoot results in Kerfoot being absolutely pasted or destroyed. I'm honestly surprised he isn't injured all the time. If you compiled a list of the best or hardest hits against Leaf players last year, Kerfoot would feature in 90% of them. No forward in the league is hit more than Kerfoot.

Hits Taken / 60 (Forwards more than 500 minutes played):

1. Kerfoot 8.75
2. Hagel 8.41
3. Bastian 8.12
4. Hyman 7.93
5. Lewis 7.93

As I say, it's not just the frequency that he is hit - it's his inability to reduce the impact of the hits. Maybe it's for the best that he's spineless - it helps him avoid injury!

I liked the trade at the time and wish he re-signed here, but the trade didn't pan out and the Bruins overpaid for him
