All signs point to UFA G Jonathan Bernier signing with New Jersey today.
As we reported before, UFA G Jaroslav Halak should be signing with Vancouver.
I wonder if UFA G James Reimer ends up in SJ or Vegas?
Still lots to play out with goalies.

Its really a tough balance between grooming the kids and losing intentionally.

I can see them trading for someone with a "name"

Bishop type guy that is costly to hit the floor , but terrible and injury prone.

Donnie likes using his 5th or 6th goalie in the organization from what I've seen so far

Hopefully Adams has the balls to wait.

We have Eichel for 5 more years. We could wait until next year once he is healthy and played games to trade him for full value. He could sit out all next year and we could still trade him next offseason. Want to sit out two offseasons? Fine by me. We were last with him we can be last without him.

I'd rather get nothing and watch Eichel sit. Legitimately no one ever sits a whole season. Wait the guy out, play him, trade him at full value.

If eichel sits out the entire year from pouting and not an elected back surgery, does his contract still remain at 5 years? I'm sure he doesnt get paid ,but is it 1 year accrued?
