Indeed. He'll be 35 the last half of the last year. I guess if the cap rises, might not be too terrible if he can sustain really solid defensive play. But will never be great.
Enjoy your day on the water. The Sabres are at it again in free agency so you won't have to worry about reporting anything. Unless, they trade Eichel... Ooops, they lost McCabe so there that (I wouldn't give him 4 yrs anyway)
More like ROR NA
he doesnt produce the points nor the D that ROR does.... but he is still very good at the defense - hubie
He's been 45/50 point producer-pace over the last 4 years. He's also been a top 7 Selke vote getter 3 years in a row (and as we all know, those awards are points driven, even if they are supposed to be for best defensive forward). I'll stand by ROR-lite as a good name for him.
Think you're underselling him here. He's ROR-lite. And only on the offensive side. He's just as good if not better defensively. - SDSabre
Maybe, he's a very nice player from advanced stats.
He's just very consistently around 0.5ppg, which is just not good enough to make the 2C on the elite teams in the league. Ideally I think your 2C is a 55 point player or better. I don't think it's a winning formula to put 5.5 million into a guy and then still need another 6 or so guys better than him to generate offense.
