The more I watch Hockey the more I am convinced young guys don't get ruined. They either are good or they aren't. Eichel can show up and take pressure of Middelstadt and Cozens and let them play in the 2 and 3 slots like they belong. Or he can sit and not travel with the team.

I am of the belief now that the Hockey Gods are wreaking terrible vengeance on this organization for the McDavid/Eichel "lost season." Not only did they see to it that BUF would lose the lottery to end all lotteries (in itself a terrible punishment considering the difference between those 2) but decided to culminate their wicked and divine justice with the team losing the very player that all of this was for in the first place.

That's what I tell myself anyway, that once Eichel is gone things will magically get better. But I'm just a (frank)ing sucker. Maybe they will switch to MTL for that draft pick now, a guy can hope.

There is blood on the hands of all parties involved here. Sabres ran a terrible org but Eichel shoulders blame in this situation too. How much goes to which party can of course be debated.

Up until the Pegulas, they actually had only missed the playoffs like 6 or 7 times in their 40 years of existence. And had an all-time winning % just below .600.

I dont blame Eichel for how the Sabres have wasted years of his career with poopty teams but the Sabres have to do what's best for them.

And if the offers are all garbage then Eichel is going to have to suit up and go prove how good he is.

He's still making $10m a year. I don't feel too bad for him
