If the Sabres haven’t Richarded Reinhart around he would have been under contract and traded.

The Sabres literally lied about his injury. Did you all forget that.

On a serious note, you are correct about Reinhart. That was a massive blunder by the org. But to say that Jack deserves no blame is incorrect, IMO. He was supposed to lead this team. They also brought in (what were thought) to be skilled players in the meantime. He has or has had aforementioned Reino, ROR, Kane, Skinner, Hall, at one time or another. Intentions at the time they were brought in were good. How much blame lies on whom is kind of moot anyway. We are where we are.

Up until the Pegulas, they actually had only missed the playoffs like 6 or 7 times in their 40 years of existence. And had an all-time winning % just below .600.

They didn't fall, they died on the operating table.

Yep. Ehrhoff and Leino should have been a sign haha, we were all so blissfully ignorant back then though. Hindsight can make one bitter all things considered.

I dont blame Eichel for how the Sabres have wasted years of his career with poopty teams but the Sabres have to do what's best for them.

And if the offers are all garbage then Eichel is going to have to suit up and go prove how good he is.

I blame Eichel. They have literally done everything for him. FFS they probably even gave him a game-day handy for the past few years.

The sabres did everything for Eichel except win. They paid him (maybe even overpaid him), made him captain, and overpaid players to come play on his line with him.

At the end of the day, winning is all that matters.

So LA and Vegas are out of the Eichel sweepstakes barring the Sabres taking back several contracts which I don’t see happening.

The only way the Sabres make this work to get the assets they're looking for.
