Obviously would never happen but the idea would then be to flip Crosby. k

Pens would basically extend their window with an elite 1C but they'd get the lesser player short term.

Rangers fans on Twitter are a confusing lot. In the same breath, they will talk about how Eichel is not worth any of their best young players or prospects. If you come back with (prior to this most recent news) something like, well fine, I like these guys from MIN, ANA, etc., better, they freak out. Do they want him or not??

Most NHL fans hideously overrate their own prospects. Of the top names we have discussed (Rossi, Zegras, Kakko, Boldy, Krebs, etc), at least half of them will probably be really average NHL players.
