5-6 month recovery time makes it January when he is healthy

The Sabres shouldn’t waste assets on a goalie via trade and should just wait until the waiver wire prior to the season and pick up a couple then for free. They going to stink anyway.

he was a rental. We got a rental return. Was I hoping for more, yes. But it wasnt that horrible of a trade. No where near the level of a ROR trade.

The Sabres goaltending was so terrible and AHL caliber at best noted by some but the first day of free agency they land jobs in other NHL cities. Maybe trade for another soft forward and a cream puff defenceman to replace McCabe and all will be well. Maybe start looking at the teams real downfall areas. Soft and soft equals no playoffs.

That's my feeling as well.
