Adams fed the fire also, this organization looks very bad right now and it's looking like Eichel's return will be minimal if that. - SABRES 89 Then dont trade him. We are not required to. This is really that simple.

Julian BrisBois is the GM and has done an outstanding job. He was Asst GM when Stevie Y was running the show...learned from a good one, but he is his own man.
Kept Cooper after the sweep by CBJ. Traded for Coleman and Goodrow...which was huge. Result was the back to back Cups as you know.
Now he had to find a reasonable RhD...done with Bogo who played absolutely great in the 1st SC run...and they'll bring up Foote for 3rd pair RhD.
He needs a 3rd line, as that entire line left...time for more youngins to transition in which they have groomed for last 2 seasons.
We'll see where it goes..I don't envision them finishing 1st ...probably 3rd in the Divison depending on injuries...but am hopeful for a three-peat
Go Bolts!!!
Sabres going to be tough to watch next season, positioning themselves to be a bottom feeder. Hopefully The Don can keep the youngins protected and motivated through it
GO Sabres!! - IonSabres
The best thing that Tampa did was to get the players to buy in and not try to break the bank with every contract. That allowed them to retain talent and not chase it in free agency. They are still benefitting from that long after Stevie Y left.

I did. The names are different but results will be the same.
Like I said. If Granto can get them to play anywhere near .500 he should win the Jack Adam’s trophy. - hehateme
There was nobody on that team that had any prayer of being on the team two years later other than Lionheart. It was set up to fail.
On this team we have 7 to 10 players who are young and part of the future. We may not win a ton but it is in our best interest to do so. The GM won't be sabotaging them.

With a nearly 40 goals pace Sam Reinhart.
He gone and no one is replacing him.
This team is going to be Eichel tank bad. - ImThatGuy
@PuckLuckJay
I currently have the Sabres projected at 67.5 points with a Tokarski and UPL tandem in net.
The numbers disagree. This guy bases it on players' projected goals added.
This is over 10 points more than they had during the tank |

I don't get the tank talk. They aren't going to try to lose this year like Murray did in years past. We all should have known they weren't going to make much progress today because of the silly money tossed about to mediocre players that wouldn't want to play here. We will be bargain shopping over the next few days. We all knew it was going to take some time to brush off 10 years of Pegula stank and 18 months of Ralph Stank. - Slump Buster What? This is worse. Murray didnt trade away a player on the Level of Eichel and Reinhart.
He got rid of Miller and a bunch of bums.

Winning Culture.
Hedman set the stage for it, Stammer reinforced it when he shunned both the Leafs and Sabres.
Let's be honest, it is an unbelieveable place to live and work...the Owner has done a great job building the Org the right way and also investing in developing interest in hockey around the area.
It is an absolutely Great atmosphere at the Arena...partying outside before and after the games...awesome
Meanwhile, and I lived in Buffalo/ Rochester for 59 years...fans in Buffalo have to deal with poopty weather ... it was fun at the time, but would much rather have this...oh well, moved 30 years to late, lol. |

Eichel will never put on the Sabres jersey again, everyone has to accept that. He’s either going to be traded prior to the start of the season or you’re going to see some ugliness between team and player. |

How they can make it different from the tank years is by doing it right this time. No quick fixes. Draft, develop, draft, develop.
(and get a haul for Jack) |
