With the list of players below they've made clear that they don't want to block from playing time:

Cozens, Mittelstadt, Asplund, Bjork, Thompson, Ruotsalainen

Along with Skinner, Okposo, and Olofsson, that doesn't leave much in the way of open forward positions.

Aside from bringing back a temporary Center in an Eichel trade like Henrique or Strome, I think we may need to begin looking at players on LTIR that teams want off their cap in exchange for a pick or prospect for taking that contract on.
