It’s too big of a distraction to have him here to start the year.
Let someone else deal with the BS. - ImThatGuy
So lower the return drastically?
That’s a good way to keep this team bottom feeders for another decade. |
|
|
|
Ha yes.
Jordan was GOAT though. These kids are still figuring what they are in the NHL. They don’t need this on top of that. - ImThatGuy
i think stripes has a great solution...let him have the surgery, keep him out until after the olympics, bring him back for a handful of games to show he's fully recovered, work out a deal next off season |

like you said, this is kagm's biggest move...he's got to get it as close to right as possible |

On paper it’s a great solution.
Jacks camp is already making noise and I fear it will only get louder as the season approaches. |

selective reeding? - Michael Pachla
I don’t need necessarily want him back at this point. But let him have the damn surgery right before the season. Keep him away from the team. Get him healthy. After the Olympic break he comes back healthy and plays the last remaining games and shows the league he’s good to go.
It’s not ideal at all. But it is certainly better than trading the him for a crap return. |

Sabres PR- We aren’t taking any questions regarding Jack Eichel.
Mike Harrington- So Dylan have you spoken to Jack and…(gets interrupted)
Dylan- Sorry to interrupt you Mr Harrington we aren’t talking about who shall not be named. You were told that so with all due respect, next question.
At least that’s how I’d handle it.

I think health has very little to do with teams not wanting to give up what Adams wants in a trade for Eichel.
It's all about teams knowing the Sabres are going to trade him. The impending NMC also plays a part. |

I know it’s easier said than done but this needs to be treated like a paper transaction. Take the emotions out of it. It’s a business after all. |

The NMC doesn’t kick in until July 1st 2022. That has nothing to do with it.
If anything a healthy Jack gets more because more teams can get him without him having a say. If he isn’t moved by the draft next season then it’s not ideal because you only have a week and teams will start lowering their offer. |

Jack playing pick-up hockey games and the Sabres finding out is a big thing.

They can make all the noise they want.
All Adam’s has to do is say hey asshat, you and your client want out right?
Ok then shut your fvcking mouth in the media. Every time you open your d!ck sucking lips it makes it harder for me to trade him. If you don’t, enjoy the next five years here. Oh and if you refuse to show up, we’ll suspend you without pay for breach of contract. We don’t have to trade you but you do need to honor the contract you signed. |

They can all pull a Michael Jordan.
Are we here to talk about the game that was just played or Scottie? You have to ask Scottie about Scottie. - dadeadhead

the d prospects are in place
3 goalie prospects in place
cozens, casey, olofsson
quinn, peterka, rosen
3 russians picked last week
2 first rd picks 2022 and a second rd pick
asplund, tage, r2d2
in theory there is enough for the rebuild 12 months from now before you include the eichel return |

I think Adams is a nice guy but there are IMO some mistakes that are adding up. Adding a condition to the Hall trade to re-sign with the Bruins was about the easiest thing you can do as a GM, even if it was for a 5th round. At some point during the season they had to have had the clear indication that Ullmark was going to test free agency, he should have hands down been dealt at the deadline then. If the plan is to tank for Wright they are going to continue to dig an enormous hole with the fans. - buffalokb
Agreed. If they’ve truly decided that this is the plan I think it’s a big mistake. You take the chance of creating this cycle of players wanting to leave because the team constantly sucks, then complete apathy from most fans because the team constantly sucks.
Plus, after 10 years who really thinks the Pegulas can right the ship? |

Let’s have Eichel here and watch as this team is destroyed from within.
Seems like a fantastic idea to have Cozens, Dahlin, Mitts constantly asked about Eichel
Sounds like a great idea. - ImThatGuy
Nah, I've been assured over the past few years , eichel was not the problem. Neither was sam.
It was risto and ralph. We should be good now. |

I know this is short term thinking that I am going to regret but (frank) it.
On one hand, I want the best package possible for Eichel. On the other hand, I keep being reminded that the Islanders lost Tavares for nothing and turned out okay. I know they had a better team going forward, but it does tell me it's possible. |

And if that is the best kind of return they're going to get for Eichel, what then? - kingcong39
Then i say keep him
We’ve got 4years to potentially get a better offer before we get into a position where we’ve just gotta take the best offer available |
