Minus the fact that Eichels agents have said they expect Eichel to be traded soon.
Now reports are they are frustrated with the lack of movement on a trade.

So what...he's a professional athlete.
Hopefully he acts like it if he's on the Sabres.
Personally I've never heard him say anything controversial at all, in fact I never heard O'Reilly say anything controversial.

Weird behavior to me how folks jump all over these dudes, I can remember not that long ago trading Eichel was preposterous...

It's truly astonishing how far this team has fallen, when you really think on it for a while.

who cares? (frank) him.

You made it difficult to trade you, and you have 5 years left on contract. Shut the (frank) and let the GMs do their thing, or go to Russia.

Agree with that sentiment. He did not have to air dirty laundry at the end of the season like that. Whoever told him to do that (if anyone) obviously misread the situation with GMKA... who it appears (for the better or worse) to have diamond hands in this situation.

Wish we could send him to the Moon for not helping the org help him. Wanted to be Captain only to pull potentially the least Captain-like move ever.

Genuinely one of the most complete "bottoming out" of a sports franchise that I can remember.

So LA and Vegas are out of the Eichel sweepstakes barring the Sabres taking back several contracts which I don’t see happening.

Houston Texans say hello.

Darcy's "pain" year and the couple of years after that were 1,000 times worse. We had absolutely nothing in the cupboard.

I'm completely fine with this. If they don't pay the price they can all kick rocks. Eichel can female dog and moan all he wants right to the khl.

Agreed. We were worst last year, what are we going to do, get worse? I don't need anything back for Eichel. Fair value in a trade, or he can play for us, or he can sit out a year. None of those makes me sad.

Losing him for an OReilly package would burn for a decade.

An entire generation has never even seen 1 meaningful, or even important Sabres game.I never see kids wearing Sabres gear. They have zero connection with the community. I honestly hope they move so we can spend our time on other things.

Do you want to ruin every single young player in this organization have a disgruntled Jack Eichel in the locker room next year

I am of the belief now that the Hockey Gods are wreaking terrible vengeance on this organization for the McDavid/Eichel "lost season." Not only did they see to it that BUF would lose the lottery to end all lotteries (in itself a terrible punishment considering the difference between those 2) but decided to culminate their wicked and divine justice with the team losing the very player that all of this was for in the first place.

That's what I tell myself anyway, that once Eichel is gone things will magically get better. But I'm just a (frank)ing sucker. Maybe they will switch to MTL for that draft pick now, a guy can hope.

Comments like this were the norm for the bills. How quickly a few smart moves can change the entire outlook on a franchise.

When you're in the drought you can't imagine it ending, but it ends.

How about meeting someone dating, getting married and now having a 5 year old before a playoff series?
