They do need those type of players in Belleville.....guys like Bishop and Peca were huge this year for the B-Sens.

ya, and if you look at his stats in the minors, hes actual prety good, almost a point per game, he is a career "AHLer" as they say, undrafted |

I wish Dadonov got another shot this year. I'm sure if he stayed on pace for a 20+ goal season Sens could have gotten a better return. That being said, Holden and Del Zotto are decent additions. Good bottom pairing selections. Our D is rough, so this will shore it up this season until they figure out which of the young guys are ready.
Trading Brannstrom would be stupid unless you're getting an amazing return. I'd be all for Eichel coming to Ottawa, but he will never come here, the ask is too high, and Ottawa is still at least 2 years away from being a real competitor imo. Plus, his neck issues are a big concern. |

Guys like this are good for a few NHL call ups if Ottawa ever runs into injury problems, like Bishop and Peca gave Ottawa last season.

Dadonov needs guys to make his line go. DJ hated him, bringing him back would have only lowered his value, he got 4th line minutes to end the season for a reason. He skated a ton but did nothing. He would never fight for those 50/50 puck battles.
As for Eichel, no thanks. Like you said, neck issues and all of the detractors about how he is in the locker room, I want no part of it!

Dorion said the veteran winger actually apologized for under-performing with the Senators, and was very professional when informed of the trade to Vegas |

Oh wow. Accountability is a nice thing. If Dadonov is placed with the right linemates in Vegas he will produce.

sometime players are just not a fit for a team, good on OTT to trade him to a actual cup contender rather than a team like buf or yotes. |

Absolutely! Dadonov will most likely excel in Vegas with the right linemates.

Wow we finally have the new logo as are avatar thanks Kevin. I think Michael was lazy to change it.
Not an exciting day for sens. Hopefully PD has something up his sleeve tomorrow. I would like for PD to trade Tierney to sharks for either hertl or timo meire as sharks need 3rd line center. What would go back to sharks to get either of those guys? |

Yes, I had the logo changed the day I started! Glad you like that.
As for Hertl, I know SJ is trying to move him, but are willing to wait to later in the season if they have too so they can maximize his return. They have been unusually quiet, I could see the Sharks doing something big.

I doubt SJ would take Tierney back.

Hey Kevin a couple of questions who has the access to change or update the sens cap central roster list and also change the other icon there. So do u have access or it's only Eklund? I hate waiting for ek to update the rosters and take off the players who aren't signing and keep that roster up to date. One of my pet peeves on this site. Lol |

A+ Kevin. Wonderful start.
As much as Sens fans are hungry for information, including informed speculation, they also love a soft dialogue that is reflective of the overall trend or future direction of the team.
I believe Monaghan would be a really good fit with the Dorion, Mann and Smith vision of a team.
What does it mean when you suggest Smith does not think Tierney plays hard enough? Does it mean he does not play the body? Is this the same undying issue that is at the root of the Sens apparent unhappiness with Logan Brown?

speculations about Eichel to OTT now that many saying branny could be traded has picked up, do not think it will happens but you never know when it comes to things like this. - Mithos
to be fair, that "speculation" is coming ENTIRELY from Ottawa fans and bloggers....literally nobody with actual inside information has suggested it.....further, guys like Garrioch have flat out said that Ottawa isn't a player for Eichel |

Dadanov was meant to be a power play specialist.
He certainly had his opportunities....to get "one assist" I think?
He just didn't click here.
And the Bruins have watched Krecji barely click with people for years. Why do we need another guy who has to have the perfect linemates. No thanks on that Bruin.

not sure i get what you're saying here.....Krecji has been excellent for years with Boston. He's put up great point totals despite having a carousel of "m'eh" linemates for years. I don't think he's a 1st line center at all, but he's an IDEAL 2nd line center and would be a great guy to play with Stutzle IMO. |

you understood exactly
a carousel of "m'eh" linemates
Why? Why is it a constant flux of people. Because the Bruins were always wanting more from him and kept trying him with new people. They saw and paid for a couple of 60\70 point seasons and then saw they were paying for a lot of 40\50 point seasons. Oh and his age. I dunno. I feel like he's another Dadinov at a different position. An over reach, probably an over pay, for a guy who is gonna get 40 points for a couple years and retire. |

Thanks for the kind words! Great community of Sens fans in here.
As for Tierney, same for Logan Brown, he wants his forwards to play heavy on the puck, play the body, etc.....there is a reason both Tierney and Dadonov were playing 4th line minutes to end the season.

Also, Stu lived in Edmonton and had a Seattle baseball team as his personal avatar. Like, wtf? I teased him about that, but he never changed it. |

That's fine for a 3rd/4th line players, but they're eventually going to need to upgrade their skill level and scoring output, and let some people play with more offensive creativity. Right now they have exactly 1 player on the roster with legitimate >70pts potential (but is at least 2yrs away from that), and they're 3 drafts, 4 top-10 picks, and 6 major trades into the rebuild. I don't mind the nickel/dime moves if it clears the books for major additions, but it seems like even the major additions are still nickel/dime moves. Being "hard to play against" is fine... so long as they aren't taking their eye off the whole "unparalleled success" part. |

I hope if anything gets bundled it is a legit #1 player. If not just keep plugging and playing. . That will get tiresome for everyone after this year. Its borderline tiresome now after the many years we have endured of this rebuild and tire fires.. we are putting faith in the process but they shouldnt feel comfortable with that alone. |
