Wooo that’s a lot for that goalie.. but we’ll have the space this year and next so it’s not a big deal. But wow. |

Overpayment, yes. But this is one of our biggest organizational needs. I think this was the best goalie available too. I'm very pleased by this deal. |

Bernier 2yrs 8mill - dmarsden2988
Oh my. Thats more than 2X2 |
|

Just a quick rundown on Bernier from the Redwings Athletic writer who was commenting on the signing. "Bernier was the wings MVP the last 2 seasons, and he was literally the only reason the Redwings won games."
Its bit of an overpay but i dont hate it at all for 2 years. Please dont retire Jonathan... |

Wow Savard to Habs for 4yrs 3.5 per.. I’d say that’s the best value so far. |

Blackwood has two years at 2.8 left so we are spending $7 mil per year at goalie. Not bad. |

Exactly, respectable price for a respectable duo. Our backend is really solidified with the addition of Graves, Hamilton, and Bernier. Now to address the glaring hole of goal scoring on the wings...... |

Our D/G is so much better than last year. Plus we’re starting with Seigenthaler too. Half our D is better than last season—- annnd Smith is better too. |

With the contractual boat anchor on PK, Im thinking Butcher is on the move before the season(assuming we can find a taker--Part of the rumored Tarasenko deal perhaps?)
If we eat half what do we think a reasonable return for him would be?

I'd like to see Kulikov come back. Murray to a lesser extent. Solid, no-frills defensive defenders. Keeps the Tennyson-types from ever cracking the lineup. |

Parise signed?
Id imagine he would go to NYI
He is a Lou guy and has no connection to the current devils - dmarsden2988
No.
But Palmieri looks like hell head back to the Island. |

Yes, overpay.
Only 2 years but Fitz wanted to dress that need, and he did.
Got to give him props. |

Give me Pius Suter then circle back on Meier. Collect all of the Swiss players. |

Draft is over so pick 29 is gone and SJ bought out Jones so taking back his salary is gone. I'd have to say you can close the book on Meiers to NJ. |

Maybe. But I think this is just another chapter in our battle with the Rangers for who gets the most players with Italian last names. They've been winning lately. |

Does the DeAngelo experience sour the Rangers on Italian last names fro a few seasons? |
